    My first Bobbed Deuce.

The rest of the mods are going to have to wait for 6 weeks. I am going to weapons and tactics course for 6 weeks. So much fun. As soon as I get back though it's back to the build.

    My first Bobbed Deuce.

Almost done. I am having a new rear driveshaft made because it's to short and a few little things left before I paint it. I will reinstall the winch soon too. I put the trailer frame on top of the deuce frame becasue I am going to super single it with the 46" good years on HMMET wheels.

    newbe wants your thoughts.

I am an avid off roader and have been stationed all over the U.S. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to get a deuce. Imagine all the fun I could have had mudding in Va. then driving it around D.C. covered in mud instead of doing it in my Ford. Then again climbing Tellico trails in it. Now I...

    Frame cutting

What is the best way to cut the frame when bobbing the Deuce. Since it is tempered I am a little worried about using the torch. Thanks.

    Deuce U-joint size

I am bobbing my deuce and am doing it alittle different. I am pushing the axle a little farther back to acount for the HMMWV ambulance body. So I will need either a stretched stock drive shaft or a new one. What I need to know is. What size is the stock U-joint? 1350 1410 etc. Thanks.

    HMMWV Rear steer

It automaticaly disables over 25mph. The controls are easy, just a joy stick and a couple of buttons. The HMMWV allready has the mounts in place for 4 wheel steering. This just replaces the stock brace with a link to an actuator. It is hydraulic and is street legal.

    HMMWV Rear steer

This rear steering system will be ready soon for purchase. Hoping enough people want it to justify the expence of developing it.

    Bobbing Questions

Thanks. Rekon I'll be drilling and mounting with bolts and using lift blocks for now.

    Bobbing Questions

That's a good question. I should have done that. I just cut my spring mounts from under the 105. It sure would have been easier to sling the 105 frame under the duece frame. Round 2 will be done that way unless someone tells me why not that make sence.

    So Cal Fall Campout

Just let me know when and where. I am in Cal-City and have a Deuce and maybe by then I'll have a few HMMWVS done. There is a lot of free range out here also. Plus red rocks canyon is a few minutes away.

HMMWV ambulace body as a camper

I am building a bunch of HMMWVs and have a spare ambulance shell. Since I am bobing my deuce anyway I thought I would make it a camper shell on it. Has anyone done this yet. It is almost a perfect fit. I'll post a few pics as soon as I start to put it together.

    Need a Winch

:cry:The guy who was operating it said he used one while he was a Marine in the 70's. So I trusted him. He finished the winching operation and wound the winch up ready to have the chain wrapped around the bumper and sinched tight. The guy on the front didn't wrap the chain around the bumper. THe...

    Need a Winch

I need a winch. My employees were using my winch to move some HMMWVS yesterday and wraped the winch up to far and broke the top brace back brace, and LH gear box. So now I need a winch. If anyone has one I'd like to buy it or trade parts or whatever. Thanks.
