Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

Yes, I have the support bracket with the hook. The batteries are good. I don't seem to have voltage under the truck needed to power the starter Solenoid.

Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

I took the battery for a bench test and it functioned as expected in the bench. The batteries are all testing good on my multimeter.

Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

So.... Long story short. Took the truck out for its first long highway run followed by some off road fun. Heard a clunk then a grinding sound. Pulled into a parking area and turned the truck off. While the truck was off a horrible screeching sound came from what I believed was the starter...

Need suggestions on battery powered impact wrench for Airlift and front winch install

I use the dewalt 3/8 with the 1/2 in extension in my socket set. You will need the larger sockets for the airlift bumper, particularly to remove the pintle.

Here's a question I always had for the 11XX series trucks being sold out of Yermo. Is the roof still the armored steel or does GP remove that roof and install another roof?

Here's the deal. IF you have a business and you are conducting business in any state you have the right to drive to said state using the company car. I understand the take from the standpoint of insurance but at the end of the day they work for you. Again, none of this is illegal or even...

Sorry sir but this information is completely incorrect. It is PERFECTLY legal to do just this. The vehicle is owned by a corporation in another state. That corporation is free to do business in any state. Whether sales prospecting or business transactions. This is demonstrated by...

    Newbie Fuel System Issues

Those vent lines are not your issue. They are cut when they demil the fording capability from the truck. Mine has the exact same thing. I too saw loose lines and said wtf. Yep, just secure them and dont worry about them for now. Did you address the fuel check valves at the rear right of...

Is there a treatment for the algae that will eliminate it from the fuel system? Biobor JF Biocide or something similar?

Does this sound like a fuel issue

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you with the source of the problem.... The fuel check valves. Once removed, the Hmmwv hummed like a drunken bear. I will likely still replace the fuel pump per RWs recommendation but I want to give a special shout out to Mike Vadin from Black Dog Customs for...

Does this sound like a fuel issue

I just read that. Btw, I do like reading the TMs. It has helped change trans oil cooler, seats, batteries, vent lines, etc. Just wanted an eye ball on the issue is all. Taking the plastic bottle to truck now. Will update. Thank you for this. Perfect timing.

Does this sound like a fuel issue

Today, I'm going to change the lift pump as I'm trying to eliminate the straight forward items first: https://tchavers.wistia.com/medias/a15fr2ob4o But before I start this, does this appear to be a lift pump issue. See vid. I opened that valve to check flow and see if I was getting air in the...

Does this sound like a fuel issue

I did notice this when under the truck but may not be related. Looks like diesel fog coming out of the exhaust pipe as it's missing a bolt.
