    New York State inspection

I use American Collectors Insurance , which is a part of USAA . Nice people to deal with and good rates . There only issue is they want ENCLOSED storage , which can be a problem . I have covered storage , so it's not a issue . I have all my vehicles reged as HX , cheap plates , probably the only...

    New York State inspection

What fuel type does your registration say ? If it's a gasser you need to change it . The shop is also able to do a manual change durning the inspection procress . The inspection machine reads the bar code off the windshield reg , so if it's wrong that could be the problem . NYS DMV does not use...

    m1009 Transmission Problem

You should be able to pick up that gear at just about any GM dealer , VERY common problem in GM vehicle's for a LONG time , do your ride a BIG favor and change the filter and fluid ASAP , those little nylon gear parts went somewhere and now would be a good time for a change . The trans pressure...

    m1009 Transmission Problem

I would check all the basics , but if you have a "weak" reverse , it generally means you have low main line pressure , not a good thing , indicates time to OVERHAUL . Main line pressure is HIGHEST in reverse , it is a basic step in a trans check , bad reverse engagement , low pressure . Have...

    LU-4 winch seals numbers

I really wanted the 411703 , just could not find one locally . I wondered about using two seals in place of the original , which is a felt seal and oil seal . I also looked in the Timken catalog , but that was what is listed for that seal number . It is also the type of seal stocked and sold by...

Thank you for ALL the info , I did a search under "winch seals" and didn't get anything useful ,o well , I am still learning the system . adding air to front with ctis disconnected.

Is this a A3 or a 5 ton ? When you removed the air valves , how did you cap the inlet pipe , did you add the schrader valve to the elbow? I am a little confused when you say you add air to the rears on the inside , which makes this a 5 ton maybe . pictures would help . bob k

    1952 M35, No spark

Sounds like a points and condenser problem ,but make sure of your coil and all wires . It is a pretty basic system power to the coil , and good points AND condenser and you should get something .

    1952 M35, No spark

No spark can make you crazy , Are you sure about your test coil's ? if everything else is good I would replace the points , even if they "LOOK GOOD" . Start with the basics , are you getting power to the coil ? you can run a jumper right to the coil and bypass the switch . As they say if in...

    Issues with SF-97

Doghead , you are in fact correct , It is a CRIME in our little state-o to use bogus paperwork to obtain a title , maybe he should have come here , a vehicle that old you can register with a bill of sale and it only gets a registration , HX plates , good to go . But he got it done that's all...
