How come your tapatalkakal whatever now shows real pics instead of uploads?
Idea? When you have time, just make a few real picture posts summarizing the build? Checking these tapatalk uploads gets a bit annoying.
For the rest, sweet setup, :goodjob: as usual.
Can't find the pic, but when visiting Commerce Trucks Wildervank (surplus Dutch and Nato army), I saw something approaching that on a different type of truck. That truck used the same type of hand brake which is part of the drive shaft.
What they had done was making a separate air circuit and...
Most are in private hands, although the state sells them off occasionally as well. I have no idea how they ever ended up in private hands, maybe as part of the 1993 restitution of properties and equipment stolen by communists, or in very early surplus sales. They used to go for around $$ 1,000...
Sweet, what kind of crane is that, any description of the building procedure?
In the early days, I was thinking about removing the front rack of the dump bed on my M51 and try get a knuckleboom crane from the Czech Praga V3S military truck in between the bed and the cabin.
Above the...
Glad I saw this, never occurred my mind. Does this go equally for the larger/stronger 5-ton multifuel?
Other question. In my old cars, I start using Shell V-Power diesel. Thought about doing the same for the M51A2 Multifuel, at least in the beginning to get things clean and good running...

It does not matter for who you vote, as long as you vote!!!

Weekend always seems to be a bit slow for the regular things.
And a small selection of the Gun Truck replica's driving around at the Vietnam War Gun Trucks Gathering Pigeon Forge 08, including Proud American.

Tried to find a video of War Wagon, but ended up with loads of video's on gun trucks in Vietnam. The thing that sometimes irritates me is the choice of music. Here's a good one, keeping alive and honoring the memories of those who where there. So vote for the War Wagon this time...
Bumpertybump.
Actually, I like the forklift too, we could use it over here manipulating a 7+3+9 ton steam power hammer
Very bad pic of me in our very old destroyed fork lift (no brakes, lousy hydraulics) and also of my then 2 year old grandson enjoying himself steering the forklift.
That's what I mean, I need an unrestored one. First, restoring is fun, second, I never would ahve the funds for a restored one, and just buying a completely ready restored truck somehow takes away the magic.
Actually, its not. Crazy for sure, but dumb not. It was in the main stream newspapers in the Netherlands just before the weekend. In our space-limited land, it might actually be realized one day. Mind you, I would still like to have a long straight runway for emergencies, but combined, who knows.
The War Wagon it is.
Here a thread with some details on the building of War Wagon.
Drew, not really important, but maybe an idea to change the caption of the contender from Jeff Kyle to his username jeffhuey1n? I tried finding the truck under "jeff kyle" (what do I know) as username but ended...
