    Cold Weather and CUCV's

What do you folks recommend to keep the engine of my 6.2 warm during the coming cold days? I think its simple, just park it in a heated garage

Power loss on hills and above 35 MPH

Fuel line restriction before filter, that may be the cause of the negative pressure. Most likely a plugged fuel tank sock

    Engine Noise

You would like that switch working all the time, better for the motor.

    M1008 acquisition and restore

1986 CUCV M1009 Decade after being wrecked.

Just passed by your LZ last Friday: picked up a pristine Pioneer Tool Trailer through the Federal Surplus program at Mechanicsburg. So when you say having three of something always beats a pair; Look at my signature, I can say I'm closer to a full house. Easter Find is doing fine, we will both...

    84 CUCV overcharging

The 30.8 volts is just a touch high but I think you can run it that way with no resulting damage. The Tms have the min-max per alternators. Ideally I like it when they run around 29 volts with no load.

    CUCV more questions than answers...

Okay so my next question is less asthetic and more technical. But why in the world would a person do this to a gas tank? That looks like wood shims and spray foam to keep the steel tank protector from making an annoying rattle at idle. You may want to remove it so it doesn't promote rust.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

That looks to nice to hide under a hood.

How To Modify A Military Antenna Base For CB Use (pics)

Good luck, But I would still try what I did, "post #7". If you have a working MX 6707 base with the matching and working 1730 mast it will do you just fine.

    Picked up a $500 m1009 Sh*tbox. No key? Hotwire?

You have a $150.00 brush guard, $50.00 worth of antenna mounts, $300.00 worth of bumpers in the back and $300.00 worth of bumpers on the truck. And that's just for starters.

1986 CUCV M1009 Decade after being wrecked.

If you go to the Pratt and Lambert site they have Aquanamel® Waterborne Alkyd Enamel Most likely it's the replacement to the Gold Seal and it has a lifetime warranty for durability. You would just have to get them the color mix code for 383 green, just like a lot of members have done for BEHR...

Which of these three generators do you like the best comparison

What size/type of a building are you trying to power with single phase? 20-25 kw will do a fairly large building and maybe your over sizing your needs.

Rear window only cranks half way down

Time for a complete interior rebuild of the tailgate.
