Rick, a cleaning tip from an old man.
Ammonia works great on the steering wheels. It removes all the built up body grease/slime like its water. Then use a standard spray cleaner to finish it up.
I hope your drying the paint by the wood stove this morning. What are you planning to pull with the 816? I'm sure you have more appropriately sized trucks with a 2" receiver hitch.
You call him Ozzie, I called him Buzz. Worked with him and his dad Howard on occasion when I was contracting back in the 80s. Sad thing, dozer flipping on him. Bought doors from Gene @ A&Js. He sold the business long ago and it looks like it finally closed doors. My fun ride was a Green 68 Olds...
I hope your farm is a "Gentleman's Farm". With that truck's age and history it should be treated with kindness and respect like a retired soldier should be. "Nice Ride"
Actually the temp sender for the glow plugs is driver side rear top of engine. The one on the back of the passenger's side head is for the high idle kick down.
Your going to love it.
I installed one on my 30 year old Kubota G6200 diesel garden tractor. They work great. Its parked out-side 24/7 and all I do is plug it in about 1/2 hour before I need it and she fires right up.
Rick, you had a going out of business sale and retired 2 years ago (something about spending time with the grandchildren). What happened? The grandchildren grow up so you prolonged your retirement?
A Tip for searching. Go in to google or your favorite auction site and search the part # first. Then then try searching the NSN and you would be amazed what will pop up.
I was looking for a new one for a spare. I just went to all three sites posted to purchase with no Joy. I guess I will have to wait in till GP or Ebay sells a large lot of electrical supplies again.
I can't remember the last time I had a flat, maybe 30 years ago. But the first time I would leave the spare out of the truck will be the next time I get a flat.
