M939 is ownership practical in SoCal?

As long as your ONLY going to use it for PRIVATE USE ONLY and nothing, dont try, dont even think about ever getting it licensed as a commercial vehicle!!! The DMV will be very short when they tell you NO! If you stay using for your own non-commercial use I know of no problems! KK

I ran my 404 for 2 years great rigs an you will enjoy it very much! When I got mine I went through the fuel system and rebuilt the fuel pump because it was old and was failing, after the rebuild I ran non ethanol fuel for a bit and then switched to running regular gasoline with 10% ethanol...

Super single? HEMTT rims on a 5 ton???

I am not positive about the back spacing on the rears of your 5 ton using HEMTT wheels but I can tell you the real reason most folks use HEMMT wheels is because they are the strongest wheel most of us have access to that will fit on our trucks. I singled out my M920 using HEMMT wheel and...

    HMMWV in the Snow?

Another ahab I cant help but chuckle a bit at your comment concerning our weather! Before I restored my Deuce I did drive it in the winter and setup properly (block heater and functional flame heater) it did pretty well except for ice NDT tires are the nemesis for ANY vehicle when you combine...

    HMMWV in the Snow?

I live in ND and although this year we have so little snow its really wonderful. But ok back to your question, going through snow generally depends on a few things, 1, being ground clearance, the more you have the better and I am talking about REAL ground clearance like how high up are your...

    RK's Deuce #2

Good looking truck Lots of really great potential there! As far as the flame heaters are concerned there are two really good reasons to have BOTH type starting aids on your truck! First the flame heater is truly a wondrous invention by somebody and I am not sure I have ever used a better...

    Battery question for M-813 w/855

Batteries and HMV is always a good topic of conversation, I see that you live in New Hampshire so you get a lot of snow but it doesn't get all that cold, I have a number of trucks with 855s in them and they are used right up to snow time in ND and what I have been running in all of them are two...

Do you think an M931A2 will do this?

The truck should be able to pull what your looking to do without any problem but with that said you may want to consider a set of chains on the tires if for nothing else a little piece of mind! Of course that would depend on what the road your talking about is made of, if its gravel or dirt...

    Oshkosh P2526

Hello Folks I recently bought an Oshkosh P2526 plow truck, as far as I can tell it appears to be older Navy inventory by the few placards that I have been able to find on the truck? When I got the truck it came with an 11ft wing blade, a 8 ft scraper blade under the chassis, a 12 foot V-plow...

congrats on the purchase Desertshark they are great trucks and very comfortable to drive long distance. Like was stated earlier look the tires over good especially since it is an A2 and has CTIS there is a good chance that it has sat on flat tires for awhile and this will spell nothing but...
