1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

Should not need the inline fuel pressure regulator with a stock pump. I would bypass the regulator next. Frank

    Problems with engine

Compression is your problem, 30 is way too low, 90 should be the minimum and being hot is not going to make up the difference. If the engine was running before the odds of all six losing compression at once is strange. Valve clearance can be set cold, add .002 for the exhaust but set the...

    New to me 1953 m37

Make sure the master cylinder pushrod is not adjusted out too far, which will not allow the piston to return all the way. There should be a little clearance between the pushrod and the piston. Frank

    NP200 transfer case rebuild problem

Do not use a bronze bushing to replace the rollers, it will not get enough lubrication and will wear out. I wouldn't use the brinneled shaft either. The NOS one is questionable depending how bad the corrosion is. If it were my truck I would look for another shaft. Have you tried Surplus City...

    Pertonix ignition coil burn up?

Yes it may burn up the coil. I recently worked on a M601 that had a Pertronix installed and the directions warned against leaving the igniton on. Check out their website, there is a lot of info there. Frank

Timing Marks -0- on Crankshaft and Camshaft Gears

Yes it is correct, don't confuse camshaft timing with ignition timing. The camshaft turns half of what the crankshaft turns in a revolution. In other words, if you start with the marks aligned as in the photo and turn the crankshaft 1 revolution the mark on the cam will be 180 degrees from...

Timing Marks -0- on Crankshaft and Camshaft Gears

If you have the timing gears aligned per the manual and as shown in your photo, that is correct. Frank

M37 with 360 Power Steering Help?

Pump could be obtained at NAPA, pulley and mounting bracket would have to be found in a salvage yard. Hoses to the gear would have to be made. Frank
