I do not think there are any available from any source now. The snow mobile shock seems to be the replacement of choice.
I wish I had done the replacement a couple of years ago now. Big difference.
I finally got around to installing the seat shock absorbers. It makes the spring seat quite comfortable compared to the prior condition. Funny how long it took me to install them. Not a major priority with the other problems I have dealt with.
October 22, the annual University of North Texas Home Coming Parade.
We will be forming up around 9am in the parking lots south of the campus.

Yesterday I drove the second deuce in a Peanut Festival parade in a small town north of here. Carried a number of folks in the rear, covered with political signs so no pics.

I have been getting some of them from Vintage Wiring but thought maybe some members here might have one or two.

Get new inside/outside star washers from Grainger, clean the surface of the fenders etc. and replace the nuts and bolts.
I learned to get a multi meter and put on a 20 or so foot extension to test the circuits. You either have a wire shorted or a problem with the turn signal. The turn signal can be cleaned. I tend to think it is a short in the wiring. But, the multi meter continuity testing will tell.
After a couple of years messing with deuces, I simply bought boxes of inside/outside star washers from Grainger Supply.
Ground problems are like gremlins popping up all the time. Change the star washers every time you work on the deuce.
It is either a short or a bad ground.
I removed all the lights, cleaned the mounts, fenders and replaced the nuts and bolts. Normally this solves the ground problem.
They are simple to rebuild. The only problem is the gasket on the end of the air pack. They fit extremely tight. Get a brake cylinder hone, small, for the liquid cylinders. I used very fine emory cloth on the air cylinder to remove rust.
