There is an ohm test I believe to test connectivity to it. Should be in the TM. I might have a spare to test if you want. It was a take off, in unknown condition, but I bet working.
I have contacted Rounders Logistics and we'll see how well they do. I'd feel terrible if someone hauled it and it blew a tire or got some LEO attention, it's not registered after all. Keep you all posted. Need a plan B, fordmechanic and I in contact. He's willing to help load. Thanks guys...
Is there any special J1587 command to initiate it? MID or PID? I guess I could sniff it out if I had the cable connection and program that 74M does. Any docs on those things?
Simp had some air trouble, so I'm still in need to get it from Edenton, North Carolina to Denver or close. Anyone going this way? Any recommendations on transport? The last Veritread sub was horrible.
Thats a NICE clean engine. The turbo looks barely used, the alternator (the non 74M hate version), that starter looks new, and I love the OD green oil filter.
I will retry the j1708 pins when I grab my 422 ECU, but I have been down this road. 74m is using a combox. I am just hitting it with an Rs485 connection and no terminators, I have no com box. Explain the "synced" part. If it send something, so can I.
Nothing new in that manual unfortunately. 422 testing. Tried with termination with a prebuilt CAN Arduino, an Rs485 with code from Arduino, and a scope (no terminator) and tried both J1708 and J1939. I will try one last termination with 120ohm and a scope, but the bus is QUIET, all in...
Did anyone find any of these for this "Hanco", which is really the generator? I am at a loss on ANY TM.
EDIT, except for the trailer chassis underneath it.
Make sure you get some good BBQ down there, I know you Carolina boys like it sweeter, but I never miss a food opportunity when I'm on a recovery. Life is too short not to stop and eat the roses, or something like that.
Send us recovery picts!
