What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I found a very worn battery post, which was arcing on start. Always check and make sure the terminals are tight. And took the MKT out.

Is this a starter solenoid? Clicks but no power to starter.

There are a couple around, even on the Bay, but is from China, but then again, they all might have been from China. Sure it's not the Black Box? Have you manually retracted it or zip tied closed?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

This reminds me that's when I took out the truck a couple of weeks ago and was under the dash trying to figure out the ABS light, I heard an odd noise from the engine, a low rumble. The engine never sounded like that.. Was it the oil? Check all the gauges, and it's all in normal parameters...

M939 CTIS Reprogram, Anybody Done It?

74m, can you send a pict of the label? Check the earlier post a page back on which models are supposed to be able to communicate. Doesn't mean Eaton can't, but I can't find any manuals for them...

M939 CTIS Reprogram, Anybody Done It?

74M, which model CTIS ECU do you have? I am betting the Eaton's were too old for 1939, but we could get lucky. I have a newer model Dana which says has the pins, but unsure of the flash. I also have two different Arduino CAN and 1708 readers. I am still holding out hope on the 1708 for the...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Fuses are both good, so it's a wire somewhere in there. I have small hands and am a small guy, but barely fit under there, I don't know how the soldiers worked on these things... Ahab, we are negotiating so not 100% ours yet. It still has to get past our mechanic, then it might be ours.. It's...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Fixed a leak in the wiper hose, which was quite chewed up. Did something to disrupt the ABS while in the dash, I now have the light on. Still does the 2 series of clicks, so now I have to figure that out. Need to clean up the garage and put stuff in the classifieds to make room for the wife's...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I got some insulation about 6 months ago, with the sticky back, $130 or so, then shipping, so I can vouch for that. Good score.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BFR Metals, Salina Kansas, a Goodie Hole

Trip report! I think I went on the muddiest day of the year. Glen had a good workaround of course. I focused on two frames and pulled a couple of things I might need, brake shoes and I found almost all the frame CTIS air hoses. The yard still has a lot, just not trucks, which I had last...

New Guy questions on bows and covers for M923 14 foot cargo bed and IDing Model No.

I also have my old troop seats gathering dust in the garage. They are mostly wood, but someone fixed them with some fiberglass. I was planning on redoing them in oil and varnish so I have a "classy" version. Let me know if you want to check it out. 98G is actually out in KS now, but he's...

New Guy questions on bows and covers for M923 14 foot cargo bed and IDing Model No.

Yes the slats are needed. Most of the kits have the fiberglass slats, and if they don't, there's some on the classifieds for cheap. I have take off slats, corners and steel bows that I haven't put up yet. Edit: wondering if I missed your terminology after the post below. ID: do you have a...

M939 CTIS Reprogram, Anybody Done It?

So I just attempted this again, and got no receive data. I think it was giving me false data before. I tried to make heads or tails out of the data, it looked wrong. I did redo my code twice, so maybe I got lucky before, but I have to check something else. I did see an interesting thing on...
