I agree that GL is ultimately responsible. I would hate for other people to pay the guy that did this $2.00 per mile. As far as GL goes they really should have notified us that the trailers ware moved. GL should also have taken new pictures that are representative of what they were selling when...
I am headed back to TX with 2 of mine. They were, "modified" (not sure what to call it) just like yours. The GL rep that was onsite was very nice. He is aware of what happened. I think the GL office is to. He said their lease expired and they had them moved. I asked him if they were mad when...
I picked up 2 out of my 4 trailers today. They are kind of a mess. The sides were ripped off then bent and broke to make flat. I don’t think they are going to be useable. One had a bent frame and several are missing the bolts and brackets to hold the body on. Some were missing the taillights...
I am supposed to have 4. I was going to try to get 2 or 3 on this trip. I think tomorrow is gona be a looong day...
I can tow 1 but my truck is kinda long and not able to go into small - narrow spaces. Its also a long drive for just 1 trailer.
I can try to look for lot 7000 if Ozarker wants...
I am suposed to pick a couple up in am. Hope I am not in for a suprise. The guy didn't seem to happy when he said "those trailers" there was a strange tone in his voice I just tried to ignore.
Normally I would use lots of cheep axle grease. Never liked 5th wheel grease much. It’s extra sticky and gets all over everything. The 5th wheel grease is also made to not wash off - not even when you want to...
I like the idea of prepping and painting it. You could keep some axle or 5th wheel...
I have used a collinear on a spring mount for mobile and a 4-element beam on 2 meters. They both worked very well. I also have a J pole I sometimes use it was my first antenna and works well on 2m and 70cm. I have never had much luck with any HF antenna I have tried several and none seem to work...
Federal law requires a CDL if over 26,000 total. I think you might be over. Be carefull !!!
TN DOT will stop you, they are very strict and the fines are worse that anything you will get in a car. If you are on back roads you might be able to sneek by. If you get in any kind of accident they will...
I just did some checking. The m1009 used 2 12v alternators 1 for each battery. The ground would be likely from the engine block to the battery (not both batteries!) or somewhere along that route.
If you use 2 sets of jumper cables 1 to front batteries and the other to the back batteries. This...
The starter should be grounded to the frame. If this wire gets loose it can cause the truck not to start or to turn over slowly like the batteries are dead even when they are fully charged. It would usually give other symptoms as it goes bad like when you hit the start button it just clicks...
In addition to the choke you can also add a capacitor across the power lead to the radio. A choke makes a kind of magnetic field that blocks AC, a capacitor (also from radio shack) absorbs AC. If you check the alternator voltage with a digital voltmeter and the voltage jumps around it could be a...
Nice truck. If you are going to bob it I would recomend checking out GL for a m105a2 trailer to make into a bed. I recently picked up a couple for $170.00 ea. I am considering bobing one of my trucks and using a M105a2 for a bed.
My first EUC took 4 months. I gave up and bid on a couple of other trucks. The second EUC was approved in 2 weeks. After I got the trucks home my first EUC got approved and I ended up with 7 total. Everyone asks why I got so many I just tell them "it was an accident".
