    Civil Lawsuit Regarding M109A3

This is one reason why I will never move where there is an HOA with stupid rules. My property, my tax burden, none of THEIR business.

Scrapping a perfect M931A2- or pulling an 8.3

Lots of great parts on that carcass - I'm sure most of it will find good homes!

    Military Fire Trucks

This might seem like a weird question, but has anyone seen a gun ring or weapons mount on a military fire truck, whether it be a 530 series or not? I know being a fire truck, it is kinda lumped in with ambulances as vehicles that are not SUPPOSED to have weapons mounted, but not sure what the...

    stolen 725

Seems to me, bankruptcy or not, when you steal a man's car, that's called grand theft auto. Hope they get the bast**d who took it and lock him up for a while. Check all the local scrapyards, up to 50 miles away. Get info, get names, and tell the scrapyard's that they have to cooperate with...

Fall 2012 Rausch Creek Sign Up Thread

Anyone snap a pic or video of the CUCV on the last hill climb on the south property? That was the one everyone else crawled up, but the CUCV driver had to "bounce" it at speed through the obstacle, and he did it 110%! Best I have ever seen someone do that little ditch...

painting an MV with a roller

No. Did you guys find you had to use two coats to get good coverage? I'm sure that painting a light color with a darker color, probably not. But maybe going from something that was 24087 and making is 383 green, might have to use 2 coats? Your thoughts?

    M37 in tow

I towed two M37s, one was mine and towed very well, tracking easily. The other was a friend's, it had trouble tracking when going around turns, the wheels did not want to "self-guide" and instead dragged around the turns. Not sure why the difference, but the deuce could handle towing either...

painting an MV with a roller

Has anyone here painted an MV with a paint roller (narrow one, like 3" wide) and had good results? If so, what type of paint did you use? Automotive or latex? Anyone got pics of their paint job this way?

    K54 Signal Corp Stake Truck

I have seen Chevy COE car haulers at many car shows. Trust me, the ones at the car shows are NOT restorations. They use the vintage cab, and a newer frame, newer engine, newer brakes, newer axles, etc. It's the only way you're going to get 60mph and any degree of safety and performance out of...

Couldn't say - I pulled the pics off the web.

    H2duece

Just remember, when you build it, you have to put a lot of military-type accessories to look right, like blackout lights, turn signals, heavy duty brackets everywhere, etc. Also, gotta remove any reference to "Mitsubushi" or "FUSO". Noone wants to see those words on a military looking vehicle...

Did the military ever have fiberglass hard tops?

I have met a couple folks with the fiberglass aftermarket tops, and have heard nothing but good things about them. psycobob had one on his ERDLator deuce this past weekend at Rausch Creek. As long as there are no cracks, I say go for it.

Time to restore the back end with all the gear for use as a command truck! Great find, there!

    H2duece

Nice project, can't wait to see the progress! As a side note, there was a cabover HMMWV concept that was tried and marketed, haven't seen any production ones so it probably never got beyond the testing phase. Here's a pic.

Fall 2012 Rausch Creek Sign Up Thread

I always have a great time at Rausch Creek ! This was my 8th time at this rally, I attended Fall 2007/2008/2009/2010/2011/2012, and Spring 2010/2011. So far I've only missed one of them, and they are a blast. For those in the area who missed it or who have never gone, there are plenty of...

    New Castle, Delaware site

It could be worse. Some people have bought and paid for items, and taken them home. The Government STILL reserves the right to change their mind, after all that hassle.

looking for instructions on how to install bows and cover

I think so - my GMA cover had the camo on the outside, and those straps were on the inside. I believe they are used to strap the cover to the bows or troop seats, to prevent the cargo cover from wiggling around in the wind when driving.
