I was looking for one too. I think I have a problem to big for me to handle. If I find one I'll let you know. If you find one, please let me know!
There is one in the colony off 121 that I am going to check out. He seems like he is willing to fix anything. Makes me happy and scared at the same...
They did email me a quote of around $10k for the parts needed.
I told them thanks but im not the Uncle Sam. And don't have his checkbook.
So I bought a VIC 3 that still sits in the box today, yet to be assembled and even tested.
I see. But I don't have that piece. Anyone know what pin on the 4 pin side (A, B, C or D) is + or - or, more importantly which pin on the two pin side is + or - ?
or is that piece common and not too expensive?
Thanks.
Ok, I have the power cable. Is there a diagram that shows which pins are +&- ? Or which pin receptacles. From there I can figure out which wire is + & - and just wire it direct (with an inline fuse)
I'll resurect this post, as I need to power up a complete VIC-3. Everything seems to be present except power cable CX-13468. I see in this post, someone had an answer, but shared via PM. :(
i have the same issue, at he moment I'm not powering it through the SINCGARS. I don't have SINCGARS I...
I bought some H4 24 v halogen headlights online. No wiring diagram, so wondering if anyone knows which tab corresponds to which numbered wire or which function? What is ground, normal, and high beams? The middle tab is the top of the light.
First, I absolutely love the 1101/2's. I think they are just sexy as ****. So I grabbed a couple with the intent of turning one into an adventure trailer with a 24v DC to AC inverter, 2 additional group 27 batteries for 12v power and a solar panel or three.
I painted my trailer in three...
After a few days of rain, I can not see any streaks or marks or discoloration. Once this stuff dries apparently, it's pretty water resistant.
I have not painted the rest of the trailer yet, so I guess the prof will stand out on any color difference between the parts I painted first and the...
Honestly? It was too wet to tarp. It had dried, but not cured. It was still in that soft stage that isn't scuff resistant.
Being the highly curious type, I just figured, worst case, I repaint the whole thing.
I really think it will be just fine. I couldn't see any damage at all after the...
I just started painting an 1101 trailer. Got half of it painted, and took a break. It started raining 90 minutes after I quit. It's rained for 2 days now, with more coming.
So, we will see the effects of rain on a fresh, barely dried coat of Behr pretty soon. I looked at it between showers and...
I think you are safe. This Behr may be a water based paint, but it's the toughest most durable latex I have encountered. Most interior latex can be washed out of clothes once dried. This stuff can't. It's tough. So, I say, paint away with anything you have. I'd be very surprised to see any...
Not late at all. Good advice.
For the record, this may look almost exactly like a VIC-3 but it isn't and I do not believe any parts are usable in a VIC-3.
Sigo,
basically, you are spot on. It's a part of a much more involved (and prohibitively expensive) system.
My only hope for completing a working system is to put this on the shelf and monitor eBay for the missing components.
The headsets can be used, I'm sure, with another system, just...
Yeah, looks like two Land cruisers. From the plate I'd say Australia. Maybe NSW? Not American. What a sweet camper setup that guy has. Really sweet ride. Looks like one of the older ones with a solid front axle maybe?
Well, now that you guys have gone and scouted it out for us, what would a plan look like for 2017? Same campground? Or go farther back into the park?
I have a friend who bought one of my trucks. He is interested in doing this next year.
Was that a Toyota Land Cruiser truck I saw? Probably diesel too. I love that truck. You see them all over third world countries, Africa especially, but you have a heck of a hard time finding one here in North America (outside of Mexico and South of Mex).
I have put in sooo many miles on dirt...
