1" crow's foot wrench from Sears solved the problem in less than two minutes when I got back. Nothing to it.:-D One last clamp and it is out. Should be easy to put back in. Just uncomfortable in the cab.

I am going to try a 1" crows foot wrench. On my way to Sears now. We will see what happens.

How do you reach the engine connection? The air compressor belt is in the way. Do I remove that belt to get to it?

I drove a starts and runs from Hooks to Bonham, Texas. We did not check oil, fuel or coolant. Jumped it off and drove it back. The next time we started it, no brakes. Life is a gamble.

I am looking for a pair of front towing shackles for my M135. They appear to be different from M35/M34 front shackles. The parts manual indicates the front and rear towing shackles are the same. Does anyone have a pair of front or rear m135/211 tow shackles and pins they want to sell?

I agree Dan. For the most part we simply have not considered this in the past. But, these deuces are getting on in years and things happen. I really believe if we eliminate dry starts, clean the fuel properly and filter the silt from the coolant these engines will last much longer. I hope.

When we get a deuce from GL they have not had peventive maintenance in a long time for the most part. Oil, coolant and such have been neglected. Currently, I am at war with rust in the fuel supply and silt in the coolant. If we eliminate both, we have gone a long way to keeping the old iron...
