What Barrman is saying is correct but do the measurements at the axle housing inside of the steering knuckle. This is because ANY streering difference from center will give a long one side/ short the other reading. Axle housing to axle housing will be accurate. Keep in mind ANY difference will...
Still working on pictures, some are a little out of focus due to wrong camera settings but I will get the better ones up this evening. Been real busy at work and just crashing when I get home.

It takes a LOT of force to bend a frame! A **** of a lot more than a forklift picking it up. If the frame were bent from the forklift it would have had to jam the truck against something, like a building. I think you would see evidence of that, like smashed flat! I seriously doubt your frame is...
You will need to jack it up, remove the lower shock attachment and then the u-bolts and then you can lower the axle from the spring. If there is any question then I would take it to an alignment shop first. Might save you a lot of work. As was mentioned the track width is different front to back...
I don't know the specs right off the top of my head but it is real tight. If you use a 1/2 drive ratchet and pull as hard as you can you are close. That condidtion is usually caused by the spring center bolt shearing because of loose u-bolts. Be sure to check the center bolt.

Turns out the missus had the camera settings wrong and a LOT of my pictures are fuzzy. I will see what I can salvage.

Even if you get it to spin the cylinders are going to have a lot of damage not to mention the rings. It would be low on compression and never run right.

Tlauden, I want it to be legal and safe and what you are suggesting is neither. With your setup there is the possibility of having the main on at the same time as the generator. With a transfer switch it is impossible to have both on together.
Ksm, I am fairly well qualified. I am a...
I know I should search this because I have seen it on here but I am sort of running short on time. I am going down to mount and wire the transfer switch now and I still have equipment to move tomorrow. I hope you guys can cut me some slack this time and point me towards the post. What I need is...
To scrap it you would have to take it all apart or you will get screwed. The skid is aluminum, generator is a lot of copper and the engine is aluminum and steel. I would strip it down and sell the parts. The control panel alone is a pretty penny, then you have the injection pump, injectors, fuel...
I have not made it to the end of the thread yet but I saw the bit about the stainless bolts in the exhaust. You might want to rethink that. Stainless is soft and the threads gall as they are put in, once heated they will break right off coming out. The M-151 has that problem all the time. I...
I had an old White OTR tractor run away on me. It was a yard truck at that point and it was receiving NO maintenance at all. I would bring a trailer into the yard and drop it and then use this yard truck to move the trailer since it was a short day cab and easier to move around the yard. As I...
Lets put it this way, You ain't gonna tow it with a pick-up. Then again.....................................That thread is still going isn't it?

Why would ANY shop install a NEW differential and not check the fluid! I mean it is NEW, as in never used as in NEVER filled. That does not fall under warranty, that falls under stupidity or incompetence. Your choice. They should be held liable.
Rick
You totally lost me now?????????????????????
I do personally know people who have had agents knock on their door and ask to see such and such equipment. They had copies of the EUC in hand. If it had been sold they wanted to see a receipt, no if's and's or buts. No matter if it was scrapped as...
