I mounted a cheap Harbor Freight hoist on mine. Nothing heavy duty but enough to load spares/ tool boxes/ empty fuel tanks. They sell for $150 new but found mine used in new condition on CL for $50. I couldn't pass it up.

Another thing I found while working on my truck (again, an a2 but may be similiar). The small hoses going to the reservoir were plugged. One comes from the top of the radiator. This one allows the air to escape the radiator and let the radiator fill completely.

If the thermostat is anything like the one in my 923a2 then it could be good and just sticking. Mine slides in a ring and a light sanding seemed to solve the problem.

I have read of a few members being disappointed with their new horns because the air supply to the horn is regulated. In other words, the stock horn does not get a full 120 psi. I don't know what it gets but just be prepared to deal with this situation.
I had decent luck putting two golf balls in the tires of my dually. When I loaded the truck down they didn't help much though. The flat spots kept the balls from settling.
