What ever happened to FT's wrecker?

Actually the first Reo's were made in limited numbers in 1949. Production must have started in large numbers (deuces) in 1950. There's a few 50's around here with a 49 at the museum on Warner-Robbins. (or at least there used to be).

You can get used takeouts pretty cheap for a core to rebuild.

They work good, but I believe a cherry picker through the door is almost easier to use.2cents

You can keep it looking stock while increasing the driveability. For example, change the front and rear ends gears to gain top end speed, google uglytruckling and add his disk brakes, power steering ect.

I wouldn't even think of putting it in my vehicle.
