I had some linings redone for the dingo and they worked fine. I'm pretty sure the lining material wasn't hard to adapt for the function. They did a workman like job too.
To answer you misstated question more seriously, why do we need a gun all the time? It's not all the time. One only needs them very rarely. BUT, just like a fire extinguisher, one doesn't have the luxury of picking and choosing WHEN you're going to need it.
One only has to look to see examples...
So why the heck are you arguing with me?
Why would I want to go there if I'm not welcome? :| And more expansively, why the heck would I want to go to a state like Connecticut when it doesn't honor out of State CCW permits in any form?
Good for you, you win a cookie.
For YOUR state that may be LAW but, for MY state it is not. We have 50 remember.
In MY state, a sign with a "no guns" on the door isn't binding. If they see you and ask you to leave, that IS binding. Not doing so is criminal tresspass.
Each has their own laws on a multitude of things...
In some states, those signs carry force of law. In others it's just their policy. They have to KNOW you're carrying and ask you to leave. The sign has no legal authority over you.
One would normally think this. However, mind you, in Georgia, where you can carry a firearm anywhere in your car, legally and lawufully, we still get situations like this:
Well, I'll probably bring my deuce as a support truck since I have a LOT of tools and kit on it. But I'll need to bring other supplies specific for the 818. I want two fuel filters just in case.
Sure seems like a bunch of Jokers want to come help out too.
So a friend has bought an M818 from Redstone. I'll be helping or leading the charge on the recovery. What should I bring as far as consumables for the recovery?
Tools, LOTS of tools (/Neo)
2 Fresh Batteries
2 Fuel Filters
Oil
Silicone Brake Fluid
various solvents and a bit of grease...
What...
The speed is a function of the gearing. That is very low. You could hook 20 4x4s on a trail up to a deuce with enough weight in the back and pull them all. They're QUITE stout for their size and engine power. Again though, set it up right, get a pyrometer, set the IP correctly and you'll have...
So today, I went to the Southeastern Railroad Museum in Duluth, Ga to do some work on their exhibits. They have a large collection and not a lot of staff and always have plenty to do. Today they were moving hardware around to gain access for a lift to perform work on a traveling crane in their...
Weld something between the C-Channels to get them parallel and keep them from rolling over. Maybe some flat spot to spread the weight out a little bit.
I have a more complete trip report up in the Road Trips section with more metrics on drive time and distance and such. I was pressed for time so I didn't do a stop for a Cat Scales to check exact weights. The big difference over the last trip with the dingo was the smaller weight of my Honda on...
So last spring I had an event in SC with my WWII group. On the way to meet/pick up one of the guys in the group, the Transmission on my truck lost some teeth and started making some odd noise. The diagnosis and problem was detailed in a previous thread.
After repairs were made by my friend and...
Well, it's going to depend on the vehicle you buy as to whether you're going to have to spend time working on it or not doesn't it?
For example. If I spend $35,000 or more and go out and buy a new (or slightly used) 4x4 truck with the 10,000 lb+ towing package, I get the vehicle with updated...
