Topic Split, was HMMWV now Replica Guns

Wow it looks like the federal law in question does not apply for soft air guns or to replicas for our collector purposes. Nor for my own experience, i've driven around Atlanta many times with what looks like an FN Mag mounted in my Ferret and never had anything more than casual inquiry from...

My deuce has a locking handle AND a master cut off switch.

Trip to Shirley's surplus Dec 9

We can meet up at shirleys around noonish. That' gives folks 30 minutes to assemble at my place, then 1.5 hours to get there which should be good. We'll probably stop on HWY 36 where that deuce is for sale then head in.

Why I need an elbow on my air inlet mushroom!

I think Ted Hils has them. I was looking at them but I had other priorities.

You've got Colemans and Saturn not too far from you all things considered. Just jaunt over to Harrisburg and head up the river.

    Jack

I carry around 10 pieces of wood, some from boards, some from an old door I took apart for the wood. Useful for jacking and bracing when jacking. Especially if you need to jack on uneven ground. I also have some brake backing plates that are round and wide which allow for a solid base for either...

M813-A1 dump conversion. Will my idea work?

I'm actually leaning towards an OxyAcetyl torch setup. But one of those 24 volt powered systems would be nice too. Add a slave cable connector to it and you're set. I wonder how well they weld given you can't adjust the voltage or amperage at all. Ooh they even have one with a nato slave cable...

    Hydraulic Dump Bed and Winch?

I suspect you want more than I'm able to afford for a crane right now.

M813-A1 dump conversion. Will my idea work?

Heh, funny. I've got real wheeled armor. You don't want me coming to look for my truck. You REALLY don't.

    ANYONE know what this is?

RE: Re: interesting... Both my Ferret Armoured Car and my Deuce have these. I like them because I can cut power to the whole truck/car and not worry about parasitic drain on the batteries.

    Brackets and chocks

Bjorn, what's the thickness on those metal panels? 1/8" thick steel? I'm shopping online for some sheet that I can use to fab up my own brackets for front turn/marker lights as well as rear turn/marker lights. I have 5 Rear read lights and 4 front ambers and I'm thinking I might need more to...

    Hydraulic Dump Bed and Winch?

I'm leaning towards the Hydraulic off the PTO because I already have a rear facing PTO output. It's one of those very neat units that has a front wards facing shaft for the winch and a rear facing unit for other devices (probably the dump hoist hydraulic pump). My preference is to eventually...
