The LDS piston squirter drops upper ring temperature by 100F; doesn't seem too significant.

    Multi-fuel life span?

A very similar engine was used in White/ Oliver tractors. The white tractor forums suggest about 4k hours before a loose sleeve or leaking injector. My understanding is that this kind of lifespan was pretty normal for tractors in the 1980s. You can buy sleeves which are larger in OD.

    M35 REO Gaskets!!! PLease Help

I haven't bought reo gaskets from NAPA for a few years. Used gaskets show up on ebay once in awhile but the cork gaskets are usually garbage. Not a big deal; just make your own from silicone sheet. I have had good luck getting oddball gaskets from Olson's Gaskets. Olson's Gaskets I...

Can 12 and 24 V share same ground?

No, look at the installation manual for a battery equalizer. They apply 1/2 of the 28V (ie. 14V) to the lower battery. Here is a link for ya: http://www.allbatterysalesandservice.com/graphics/52109-52204-52206-52208-52210.pdf

    M35 REO Gaskets!!! PLease Help

I don't have the part numbers at hand but lots of the gaskets can be had from NAPA. I had the best luck making my own oil pan and valve cover gaskets from silicone sheet. Cheapest price were from "rubberman" on ebay.

LOL! That's what I thought too.

    Converting to dual alternators

Looks like I went home just when the party was getting going..... There were a lot of comments about how which alternator "knows" to charge which battery. In short, the alternators have NO idea what is attached. They simply try to maintain full output voltage until the internal impedance...

    Converting to dual alternators

how an equalizer works vs how two alts work can be very different as the equalizer has the abilty to monitior both batteries and send power where it is needed at the same rate You keep assuming that the charging system has intelligence when it does not. If they have the save voltage, the...

    Converting to dual alternators

Look at Figure 1 in the following link. Same concept as what I have suggested exept they have replaced the 12V alternator with a 12V DC-DC converter power supply. http://www.allbatterysalesandservice.com/graphics/52109-52204-52206-52208-52210.pdf Note especially: 5. Connect the 12V and 24V...
