The best way to replace your headlights is to get the hella H4 kit.

    Turbo ID

While that turbo has been widely claimed as from an LDS-427, I found a manual indicating that it was acutally an early LDT turbo. I don't have the info right at hand, though.

    The deuce and the HOA....

I agree that is sounds like BS. Water mains in rural SD are PVC. But, we bury them well deep (~7 feet). Your's would have to be very shallow to be susceptible to damage.

    Why 2650rpm max?

I found these interesting statement on a tractor website: One other differenc is that the connecting rods are lighter in the truck motors. As J said, some of these ld engines had better crankshafts but not all of them. I have five of these motors and only one has the better crankshaft. I...

    Why 2650rpm max?

    Will this affect fueling rate?

    Why 2650rpm max?

This is not entirely true. The internal combustion engine "bible" by Taylor indicates that high compression ratio alone is sufficient to enable multifuel capability. The MAN combustion is probably just icing on the cake.

    Why won't my sprag engage?

People assume that the sprag needs to be adjusted if not working. IMHO, it is usually because the sprag elements are worn out. The adjustment is not that sensitive.

    Spin on oil filter kit

Also keep in mind that the 22 gpm spec is at the maximum engine speed of 2600 rpm. You probably don't want to run that speed for long anyway.

    Flame heater check valve

You can replace the o-ring without taking out the flame heater injector. Take out the air filter canister and there is plenty of room.

    Spin on oil filter kit

Cut the guy some slack. Whether or not you him or his products, he is still providing a service to the SS market and competition.

    Spin on oil filter kit

I have installed two brands of kits. One was well designed and machined. The other was not. It had very rough machining. The drill used to bore the oil holes was done with so much force that the aluminum was mushroomed out the back. The hollow bolt head was too small and had very little...

    slobber tube

I did my MS thesis on micromachined automotive gas sensors. Crankcase emissions are a SIGNIFICANT source of pollution and the positive crankcase ventilation system was the first emissions control device.

    Fuel nozzle leak

You don't have to remove the nozzle to replace the o-rings. Remove the lower part of the air filter canister and there is plenty of room. It is best if you have the o-ring ready as the parts can drop out. I had a piece of wire which I used to temporary retain the innards.

M35 Reo gasser part number lookup?

They are close enough, with a few minor changes, to use for a multi-powered truck as well. Not all have provisions for turnsignals, though.

    Altenator conversion

I did this to my gas M35 several years ago. You remove your generator and regulator. Bolt the alternator to the generator's mounts. Screw the adapter cable where the old regulator was. Run the adapter cable to the alternator. Connect the alternator energize lead to switched power. It will...
