Sorry Walt l'm going to pass on the convoy part this year, its a 5 hour drive just to get to Aaron's, and now with our dollar being higher the border lines have been bad, so thats all the hi-way driving l'm going to do. Scott l hope Ed's trailer is empty this year cause that's where your going...
Who has installed one of these. l'm thinking of making another fuel tank and relocating it in a different spot so l will not be using the factory pump, if someone can give me a make and model and how it worked out for you that would be great.
l've got a Yukon locker in the front and rear axle of my deuce, works great l have about 600 miles on them. l had the bed off to install the rear one and pulled the front axle to install that one. Drilling a hole in the bed may work on the rear. l had to replace the gasket on the rear one and l...
Forgot to thank Mike for posting the pics of my truck, he remembers my lack of computer skills. Yeah Scott l think l have about 50 tires of different sizes now.
l have a Yukon grizzly locker in the front axle and the rear of my deuce just did a 500 mile trip in July all on road, handled no different then before.
l bought 8 395s and 10 Firestone 831s at Christmas time, l kept quiet until now so no one knew l had the 395s until l showed up at the PNW convoy, he also gave me a free deuce bed in great shape, so if anyone needs tires on the west coast he the one to call.
Rob
Made it home in 5hrs, sorry to miss the off-road part, besides l'm sure it would have caused an international incident to be the only truck to the top of the hill with Walt as co-driver. Aaron, Amber, Wayne, Mike and the others involved did a great job again. During the convey a jacket l left...
Okay l got a e-mail, l asked for a quote to ship 12 tires and wheels to Vancouver, B.C. they replied 5 skids= 7000lbs $850. Now l'm thinking the number of skids should be 3 and the weight about 2500lbs what do you guys think, l'm going to call them thursday to see.
Where did you guys get your prices for shipping, did you find your own shipper or did the Prefair give you the quote, l want the rims but l have the tires l want, looks like l would have to take tire and wheel package. Wish they would surplus out the trucks on the West Coast soon.
l was reading the back of this Pennzoil jug l have for for my cars:
It provides excellent oxidation stability, low temp performance, excellent synchronizer performance and compatibility with yellow metals, such as bronze, brass and copper components found in manual transaxles and transmissions...
