I have continued to take the Jeep apart. I have discovered the frame to be scale and rust free. Bottom of body is clean too. These things are very simple machines.

First time posting. Have not researched what year it is. There is indications painted on the side-old failing paint, that it was in Viet Nam. I appreciate the help and tips on the Mule.
I plan on getting her to run and clean it up to original. I plan on using it on my farm-mostly for fun.

I am rebuilding it now. Installing the venerable AMC 258 with a 4 speed and Dana 300 transfer case. Maybe paint it olive drab and put my dad's First Cav sticker on it.

It was a fire fighting rig with two 1 1/2" hoses on it. There was the remains of a pump on the front-the type found on brush trucks. Electricals are 12 volt. Seats have canvas bottoms.
Mileage shows about 15K. Zero rust with frame looking near perfect. The master cylinder is leaking which has...
Picked this up last year out of Sparta. I have begun to rebuild it. Question-what does CF6390 stand for? The old fella is my wives uncle from Queens. He helped me recover the jeep out of Sparta.

Finally found a local Mule (Genny) motor for my mule. Current engine is good for killing bugs with a ton of smoke. Finally found a local engine through Craigslist. Motor was across town which made it a snap.
Got the crate into my shop and opened it up to see if good or bad. She looks good...

I had a similar problem.
Mine was inside the solenoid. There is a large copper washer-disc. The surface can get pretty rough and inhibit the starter from starting. I took mine apart and found mine to be very rough. I flipped it over to the fresh backside. Put it back together and installed in...
We have recently learned that. DMV was supposed to have bridged that when we registered the truck. The point I was trying to make is the paperwork and the method of that paperwork. It's a veiled tax. Makes me wonder how many folks sit at the DMV and do the paperwork vs pay for them to do it.

My two cents here. Those receiving a check from American taxpayers by proxy (city, county, state, Fed job) have been turned into revenue generators. Best to follow the speed limit and every other rule of the road, and you will avoid this "tax".
My business bought a new 1 ton Silverado that has a...
My A3 developed a sticking brake pedal. I can use my foot to pull it back. Just started to do this before parking her for the season. Have a hunch that the cause is corrosion.
