I'd figure to do something with the pink wire going to the IP. That way any robbers get a crank but no start and they give up thinking you have an old piece of shot that doesn't run.

If you're worried about strength then I'd go with a 14bolt full floater. If you find one from a suburban you don't even need to move the spring perches.
