If there was a problem with the sensors and the TCM was healthy enough to know you would get codes.
It would be interesting to disconnect the TISS, TOSS and TPS separately and see if you get any codes
So I have a 1000 miles or so on the Petlas tires and have to say I am pretty darnn happy with them, they grip very well, no more burn outs it just launches like a rocket and it turns very well
If the trans light comes on when switched to run then goes out when you start the truck then I would suggest trying another TCM, it sees the truck running but does not know it has problems.
The system is "failsafe" so with the switch open or the wire disconnected the fan runs, it shuts off when the switch closes or you short the two leads together.
Yes, there are timing marks on the harmonic balancer, the pointer is on the drivers side below the PS pump.
It is always a good idea to bar an engine over in its normal direction which is clockwise standing in front of the truck looking at the harmonic balancer
