Since we are on the subject, do you guys have any good leads on parts for the M548A1? I might need a tailgate for one of mine and some other odd and end body parts. Have searched old posts here, but that didn't yield much.
Well I actually have a bunch of G749 NOS and take off stuff I would sell if anyone needs any. I do have points and condensors, some seals and other odd and end stuff.
Sounds like air solenoid is leaking internally and pressurizing your T/C. Definitely take it apart and see what's going on or it will start blowing seals out from being pressurized.

Yup, our cooks used to do that to store things on when they served out of a deuce. They used to put the coffee and juice containers up there so you just reached up and pulled the valve to get your stuff. Also kept the trays and things on them. Fond memories!!!!!

I've bought them from LMC and had good luck. Spendy, but the fit seemed right. I also have a few brand new ABS dash caps that work really well for $75 if anyone is looking for some. When mine cracks again, I will just put a dash cap on it for way less.
