I was unsure of the towing on these, thanks for the info. My only problem with pulling them on their own wheels is being 4+ hours from home, for me I would rather not risk the time and travel. I know how my trailer pulls, and it is well maintained. I just like to feel confident of no surprises.
It was nearly impossible for me to find a trailer that this would fit on, I do not like moving any of this equipment on it's own wheels until I have checked it out completely. Anyways, I have a 16' utility trailer that has a high capacity rating, but it is just not wide enough for the 8' wheel...
I agree with Maddawg308, the gun should be the only item in question. Standard de-milling is to cut the receiver into pieces, I have a C&R FFL license and see this all the time.
We can fit it inside of the shelter, as long as you can staple it back together when it gets to Georgia. Any where in particular that you want the cuts made?
I could probably use some tongue weight, so inside the shelter gets my vote. Kip stated that the deuce bed on the M200 trailer was a fairly balanced load, I am just trying to not drive 10 hours with a wandering trailer.
I need to add an update, the situation has changed. I am driving a pickup north and then returning with the shelter on an M200 trailer. I am not familiar enough with wreckers to know if the spades would fit inside of the shelter or not, but if they do I am ok with it. Kip and Gimp have...
I am towing an empty trailer from Atlanta area to Lancaster Ohio on November 22-23 . I can haul up to 5,000lbs on it and it is a vehicle hauler. If you will help out with a little gas money I have no problem taking whatever you need up with me. I am bringing back a shelter so there is not...
Is anyone recovering anything from Redstone and traveling through the Atlanta area? I have an M832 dolly set that I need brought down to Atlanta from Huntsville.
Make sure you have a good trailer, and they will work. A friend loaned me his car hauler flat bed trailer, it had the length but not the weight capacity. The trailer simply sat down on the tail end.
I posted earlier in this thread that I would be bring an M35A2 heater kit new in the box. I WILL NOT be able to attend the rally, family comes first and I have to go see my daughter in Ohio. If anyone was interested in it please PM and I will see if we can figure out a way to get it to you...
I like the flat beds and have been keeping an eye out, although I do question the weight of it as a good trailer for the deuce. The bolster trailer is a good idea, and of course I have let several of those pass me up in the last several months.
I will be installing a mep-002 on this rig, so...
