If it was dry I would think that might work, but with the extremely soft ground & the weight of the trailer, it would push the skis right into the ground. (Right now it has pushed railroad ties 5-6" into the ground from just sitting on them.
I just got of the phone w/the crane...
I have already made a trade with someone for that dual wheeled M200A1.....so I dont want to bend/break/screw it up.
The M332 definitely has room for duals, since there is nothing above the tires (no fenders or anything). My main concern would be the tongue weight pressing down on the 332. I...
ONLY three are mine! haha.....one of them is Headwizards....
And that only makes 8 5tons!....I am still a long way away from finishing the "program" ;)
Can anyone near Richmond pick up 4 M813s within the next couple weeks & store them temporarily for me?
That GL site only does loadouts on Tuesday & Wednesday & my time is running out to get them.
Let me know!
Thanks
Daniel
wow that is a long way.....
I am dreading the 130 miles to richmond next week to get more 813s! haha
The 180 mile (one way) last week picking up 813s just about killed me....I am still sore!
After reading this I think I will try one last thing before getting the crane.....
What do you think about this:
Take my M332 ammo trailer & take the lugs off, switch to budcaps & put duals on the 332? Then back it under the front of the 872, lower the 872 onto it, chain it up, and rotate the...
UPDATE:
Today I had two different big truck/offroad recovery wrecker services come check it out & see if they could get the trailer out. BOTH told me "no way....if you got your army trucks stuck getting near it, there is no way we would even get that close".
Then, my buddy came over & my...
I broke the shear pin after I had already winched myself out. What happened was, I had 10-15 ft of cable still laying on the ground, so I wrapped it around the bumper so I could turn around & then unspool it again & winch the 818 out. I got in the truck, put the winch in neutral & pulled...
It has been sitting there since October. The entire field stays dry 10 1/2 months per year, but from last week until the end of May, it turns into a sloppy mess.
You would think that I would have moved it a month ago.....
;)
I almost did.....but I had my neighbor help me get the 813 out & then my brother & my buddy came over to help w/the 818. If I didnt have someone in each truck, there is NO way I would have gotten out.
NDTs SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They dig a hole & then turn into racing slicks. They are good on...
Well......today is by far one of the most disappointing days for army trucks that I can remember. It was bad enough when I got stuck in the woods behind my house, but today....I got stuck in my front yard, TWICE, with a M818 & M813! It took me all day to get out.
This morning I went down in...
800 Series 5 tons are Sprag front axles. They dont have air-shift like some deuces. IF the sprag is working, then when the trucks senses slippage, it auto-engages the front axle.
