Not sure what kind of wood it is, but it came from my neighbors tree that he cut down. I know it was an evergreen and the leaves were oval shaped and about half dollar size.

Unless you plan on doing some big time rock crawling I would go with a Truetrac LSD especially for daily driving. It's easier on the driveline. Looking at a few videos online it seems to work pretty good.https://youtu.be/ZrfaZl55pz8

Just in case anyone might get lost along the way I'll put up these marker poles along the route. This first picture is where you would turn in from Hinkley then marker poles every mile or so and double poles is where you would turn in.
