Will you be bringing your 5 ton?

I'm headed up to Azusa OHV for some fun on Sunday if anyone wants to join me. We'll be taking my 5 ton and a couple of quads. I'll try not to get stuck again, but that's what I said last time. Meet up at 210 and Azusa intersection Shell gas station 9:00 - 9:30.

I have a winch on mine, but it did me no good. I had to be pulled out from the rear. The whole thing with not putting it in reverse while in low is that you can break your transfer case. Lots of info here on it.

This is my truck here. We sure had some fun. It's amazing what a few snatch blocks and a good winch truck can do.

Do you have any pictures of your set up? I hate the cable shift on mine.

It's at the Azusa OHV park. I don't know what I would have done without the winch. What I did learn is not to mess around where I might get stuck without having some friends around that have big trucks.

Well you can't find out what it is capable of unless you push it. It was my first time using a winch and man was I glad that the truck had it.

Found this video. I have driven these trucks with this same type of front air ride suspension and can honestly say that it is like driving a car compared to a multi leaf spring truck. Now to find a truck with steer axle air ride suspension. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mz8tsDO9Qa4

I must say that this trip was a relaxing and enjoyable trip. The weather was nice, people were good to be around and big thanks to Jeremy for bringing out all that fire wood. Glad to see Nelson came through with his movie projector. This made for some good time with friends and popcorn. Hope...

Which of your many vehicles are you bringing out? or are you leave us in suspense? HMMWV? 5 ton? F550? or some cool new toy?

I'm not leaving until Friday. Some peeps I'm going with can't seem to sweet talk their boss to get the day off.

I know, some leak more than others especially as they get older. The same goes for the trucks. Not sure who is and who isn't until they are there, but for entertainment value let's hope so. It's always a surprise to me who shows up to these events. ;-)

Darn! One week to go and so much to do. I better get under the truck now and take care of them oil leaks.
