Look up "diesel fuel additive test" marvel mystery oil was shown to increase wear on the engine. I just pour in some marine 2 stroke oil into my fuel.

Did, the resistor glow plug by-pass. And installed a CB radio minus the antenna.

I got one off of rock auto as well, it was a MOOG. It was about 50$ and much more beefy thatn the worn out stock one. Plus it looks cool.

I replaced mine within a week or two of buying my m1008. Not difficult. I got mine for 17$ from napa. Cheap insurance I figure.

I went to napa and got one. But the length of that dipstick is the same length as my current one which has the tip broken off.

What is the length of a tranny dipstick for an m1008, th400? Mine has the end broken off and i've tried buying a replacement but it was the same length as the broken one; so obviously my broken dipstick shoulde be longer by at least a couple of inches. Thanks guys!

Thanks. just got the truck on wed. so, i'm still figuring these things out.

So looking at TM9-2320-289-34P fig.110. I have a leak originating from part # 7-8. To cure this problem do I order new shims? as shown as part# 8? or a new oil seal retainer?
