Same thing happened to me, the constant velocity drive shaft - transfer case, transmission were destroyed.

Then trying looking for a 5 ton van, it would be cheaper and you wouldn't get your hands dirty if your looking for added weight capability.

Try looking into Northern Equipment, lots of goodies and would be a good project if you decide to go the power from a electric clutch driven hydraulic pump from the 12 volt side of the duel batteries.
