The pictures are fun to look at. When you take a pictures in the future, would you include a coin next to a model for the last picture? That is just too much fun when I see the models and then see a model posed with some sort of marker to then get a sense of the actual size! The picture of you...
Will a chassis ground work with the one wire 12 volt alternator and wiring or do I need and isolated ground and wiring for the 12 volt system?
If one grounds the 12 volt system to the chassis, doesn't the 24 volt system influence the 12 volt system?
If I were doing what you were doing at least double the gauge between the batteries and grounds and batteries and the starter to carry the current to get it the engine spinning. Cold diesels don't want to start but spinning them fast helps getting them started.
My A3 had 2 big brown clunky...
Are you familiar with the M1008 coproraete 14 and dana 60 drive axles?
Secifically are there conversion gearset to go from series carriers in the 14 and 60 to use 3 style ratios? I've used the internet but never found a clear answer?
Found this thread but no info on conversion sets: Re-Gearing...
I bought 4 off of GL. 2 ran and 2 were towed on 1 runner and 1 tow on have cold starting issues but run perfect. 1 tow on and one runner are the best starting and running I've ever seen.
Who needs a casino, I just go to GL and buy something. rofl
Should you buy form them, can you fix a CUCV, do...
Amazing what is on this internet!
found and bookmarked[thumbzup]
Gonna do it if I build my rockwell axled, stock A3 tired, divorced 205 transfer cased, rustfree bodied, built out of redsidue M1008 parts.:driver:
So what is this "twin sticking"?:-?
Will it work on a divorced (3 shaft) 205 NP.?
The only "twin sticking" I ever saw was on some picture not meant for prime time.:-o
:doghead:
I need 4 A3 wheels and tires brought from spring city, pa area to madison wi. If you go past Madison WI I am 30 minutes off of interstate 94 which is likely a route you would take. Camping-lodging-shower-chow available here at the farm!
I think I can arrange to have the wheels brought to Delta...
I have the CTIS connected and it functions well. During the summer spring and fall I use it every time I take the truck out. I love the soft ride offroad in the mud and snow position. With the seat and the tires aired down, truck rides like fluffy charmin on a soft cloud held up with kitten...
Check the fluid level in the batteries. Are they filled up beyond the proper level?
If so, did warm batteries getting submerged in cold water allow contracting air space in to suck water in to the batteries and ruin them?
Here in Wisconsin, I just got the right to title and license for my M35A3 and the right to title and license a CUCV as a regular vehicle. That action only came about after a protracted effort by a persistent and informed few. [thumbzup]
The legislation also seemed to affect vintage and hobbyist...
It was amusing reading you armchair pontifications. I am glad you don't ever intend to own one of them "raging" whatevers.
A fact about the tires on the A3: They have a n 80 PSI rating and they have never been inflated to that level while mounted on an A3. The CTIS has a max inflation of 45...
I enjoy the pictures of the legendary machinery in motion but what really grabs me is the Patriotism, Determination, Love of Country and Sense of Self these and all the Soldiers felt to put their lives on the line to do all their jobs.[thumbzup]
Now for the political rant: regardless of what...
I thinks these trucks are fantastic truck but,...
If you can't turn a wrench....,
can't use search on this site for info on these trucks....,
you will be out in the dark with these trucks.
Do as CUCV search on this site for CUCV; transmission, electrical, charging, alternator, doghead mod...
