Daang, I always enjoy your posts because they are so rich and full of fact. I am happy to have your clear, reasoned logic help me figure stuff out. Buy you a .

I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread, I could keep reading the fresh responses until the fat lady sings.
I am thinking that I might want 4 overson lockouts for my A3 if I were to go across country, 2 on the front axle and 2 on the rear axle. I would remove the trailing drive shaft and let the...
I have a low milage M1008 and use it around the farm and it is just fantastic at low speed. I have taken it on the road and I don't like operating it faster than 45 MPH. One could change the gears but then you would sacrifice power. The 4.56 gears in this truck are too slow to make this a...
Whoa little doggie, I thought 3 axled vehicles were considered commercial and the appropriate license was required to operate the duece in CA.
I live in WI and wanted to do the Desert get together out in CA sometime and was wondering if I could drive through CA while having the appropriate...
On the new trucks with automatic lockouts, does the transfer case disconnect the front drive shaft from the rear drive shaft? Does the front drive shaft turn from the torque after it has gone through a differential?
I can see a single lockout being effective if the drive-line is turning all the...
Absolutely fascinating thread. The Propane tank and the heater are a perfect solution to a cold problem. I don't know where one can get a propane salamander heater without an electric plug in for a fan. I thought the heater could run on the pulse jet principle.:tin hat:
I'd like a couple of gallons of tan CARC with hardener.
I have to figure out a way to get it to Wisconsin.
If you guys go out to the desert next year, I'd like to tag along with my MV. I always wanted to see the desert besides from the highway.
Need to figure out how to get the M35A3 out there...
Bump
I need to get 2 wheels assemblies from Spring City PA to some point between there and Wisconsin.
I will travel to some point to pick them up from your terminus of above said journey.
Otherwise I have to ship them via some common carrier.
I just figure someone can make some coin if...
Aww darn, just when I was finally over the MK48 kick and settled for the fact that I could enjoy other's good fortunes of their MK48 ownership, I find you can haul these and now I WANT ONE AGAIN!
All sillyness aside, great looking rig and if I need something hauled I will give a call.[thumbzup]
Fun thread to read, Dang, some nice design work!!:grd:
I am kicking the thought of some rockwells under a CUCV and it is good to know the GM steering box is a tough unit that will work for my purposes. The tapping for the assist is CLEVER!![thumbzup] I'd like to find a write up for that and...
Maybe now is the time to also address the issue on why we can't have HMMWV's..
, hope it's not :deadhorse:, It would be :) to get and keep one for limited use.
is there a fuel filter or filter sock on the end of the pickup tube in the fuel tank? Could the pickup be collapsing with a fuel draw and expanding after the engine quits. Install a little fuel tank and filter on the intake of the engine lift pump and ascertain you have a working fuel system...
I thought I'd recycle an existing thread so here goes.
GL sent me a SF 97 for my M1008. GL used 1987 for a date on the SF 97 and they sold it as as 1984 on the paid in full invoice.
Do I need to have it fixed?
Will DOT still title it?
I wish things just went well and correct the first...
