Do a search for the part number on the turbo..There was a really good thread about identifing turbos by the part number ..It had pics of most of the different types and which engines had which turbos
Could just need head gaskets or freeze plugs? The freeze plugs between the heads are good for leaking to.Thats what was wrong with the motor i just put in my truck .I would pull it apart before buying anything more than a gasket set and freeze plugs..
There are a couple of different c turbos?Do a search...or post pics so we can let you know which one you have ..Some are louder than others..There are other things that effect it. like lack of fuel, poor air flow, lack of oil to the turbo...
i have a couple of questions?First do you offroad the truck?Second does the waste oil you burn come from a general repair shop or trans shop...If you take it off road most likely you took water in through the vent near the back of the engine .or someone left the master cyl vent loose and sucked...
i did the same thing looked like a papa johns ad.....but worked nicely...I would be leary about using the blinds as they would move alot with the winds and such..This could cause them to wear holes in the radiator...If you go with that just make sure you have some strips of wood between the rad...
Funny after seeing that fifth wheel that far back ..i was driving around today and seen a semi with his fifth wheel so far back it was almost dirrectly over the rear tandum? It was a day cab truck ...I thought it was really wierd but i guess depending on the weight of your engine in the truck...
That is one awsome goat....i only see two things i would do different....# 1 hard top # 2 title would be in my name not yours ....The first one is probably hard to find but the second would be easy..
Ya thats what i was thinkin..YOur kit seems best for guys that want to run stock tires. to 11.00s..I'm looking for a way to get a little better ratio and still keep my higher top speed that i have with the 15.5s on there..I want to keep the 15.5s just like to have better accelleration? It would...
Seems like alot of work to do it that way... Why not make a basic cicrle cutter to mount to the center of the rim in the bolt holes...You could have used a peice 1/4 inch plate with a hole in the center mount a bearing to it with a four bolt pillow block then weld a tube to the the plate to...
What if you went with the 4.90s and a gasser trans? What would top speed be?Not that it would be worth it but might give a different combo than whats been done before.
Super nice truck..I need one ..that fifth wheel is def to far back.it should be just in front of the center of the tandums..that way it puts some of the weight on the front tires..It's funny how a m35a2 is only rated to pull 6000lbs and the same engine and brakes can pull 36000lbs?I've pulled...
i say make a bow out of steel tube to fit into the stake pockets on the troop seats..Make it just taller than the top of the cab then you can hook a come along to it and winch the tire into the bed ..When you're making the bow make two of them so you can use them as a ladder rack if you need to...
