The M939's are about the same as the M813 cab just a little wider and the batteries are under the passenger seat. Not much fun on a long trip.
I drove a M925A2 about 1100 miles and I was worn out when I got there.
But it all fun!!
That would be my guess also. I had the same problem and it was the transmission.
When they rebuilt the transmission they plugged the drain back hole with RTV.
Just a FYI I looked in the TM and the p/n is the same for all the trucks. I would think if you needed a different one they would list it.

One thing I think is a down fall of the M939 is to use the transmission PTO the truck has to be in neutral.
