Should the horn relay provide power from the orange wire to the black wire then on to the horn button? Would a bad diode prevent the relay from providing power to the black wire/horn button?
Thanks
Early this morning before work i was asked to pull a tractor out of a ditch. So i grabed the M52 and headed over there. After realizing i forgot my chain i stopped at the end of my road and started to turn around. I turned hard right where there is a small hill. After climbing it enough to back...
I tried searching but didn't come up with what i'm looking for. Does anyone know a civi part number for u joints on the rear drive shaft? From the transfer case to the rear axle? Thanks
While reading another thread about death wobble i came across a discussion about using brass king pin bushings instead of the nylon ones. Has anyone used these yet? How did they work out? It is started they are for racing only. Not street use. Anyone know why?
I'm tring to get the horn working to pass a saftey inspection. I have power to the steering wheel and i replaced the horn relay. If i run a hot wire to the horn itself it works. I tried a search and found warthogs pics on the relays and diodes. If i remove the diode in the harness in the pics...
Does anyone know the procedure for govener adjustment on the 6.2?
My wife will be driving my M1028 on occasion. I'd like to adjust the engine speed down to a level that she can't blow it up. Mabye set it at 2800 RPM's instead of 3600. Any other sudjestions for limiting engine speed??
What about a CUCV mod section like the duece one? There are alot of guys that mod these into hard core off road trucks. Then others that are trying to fix something or ask about repairs. It might simplifly things for some.
We were talking in another thread about milage on a duece. And how to make them last longer. What do ya'll consider high milage for one of these? i've put more that 160K in the last decade. To some this seems quite high. But for a diesel truck this doesen't seem much to me. Who else has broke...
We took the M37 out on the road yesterday for about 10 miles. It was good to finnally have it on the road after all this work. But we found the rear output on the transfercase is loose after hearing a vibration at 40 MPH. Does anyone know the part numbers for these bearings? i'd like to have...
There are two metal lines comming from the dist to the air intake tube before the carb. Are both of these nessary for timing advance? Or just one? We are planning on installing a open air filter in the hopes of helping fuel milage. And keeping the orginal oilbath filter for shows and parades. So...
Does anyone run the rear outer seals in the front hubs? I'm trying to stop water from entering the front wheelbearings. I have selectro lockouts on the front and they are no where near leak proof. I've replaced o-rings in them and they still leak. And i'm convenced it's the lockouts becaust when...
Im only getting 14VOLTS at the plug. Shouldn't i be getting 24 for the military trailor lights? Everything is working with a voltmeter. Stop, turn, blackouts, etc. But the lights are very dim. Is this normal?
I just lost another 6.2 to a bad harmonic balencer. The rubber seperated from the outer ring and the engine busted the crankshaft. This balencer was 2 years old. I had changed it out when i installed this engine. But as with everything else these days it was made in china. I'll be inspecting...
Does anyone know what the clearence adustments would be with the engine cold? We whave the intake and exaust manafolds off to fix the leaks. And udjusting the valves with everything off and cool would be much more pleasent. That and it would be easier to teach the kiddo when he can see it...
I've tried the search option and looked in the FAQ's. But no luck. Is there a way to keep from being logged out when repling to a post or a PM? If it takes more than a few minutes to type I get logged off the site and loose everything i typed. Help?
I looked and looked for a airfilter for this getset. I finally gave up and decided to modify the filter can. The WIX#546257 is the best fit for the original. I had to remove the outer centering ring in the filter housing to make it work. I also made a centering plug for the cap end of the...
I was sopposed to get this number for some guys who PM's me. But i dropped the ball and forgot about it. The hose i found that works is a GATES #26528.
It's 2 1/4 x 2 1/2 x 25" long. This hose works but it difficult to install. I had to remove the generator to make the bend onto the water...
