We started working on the brakes this weekend. And had them working pretty well for about 2 miles. Then the right front wheel cylinder started leaking. It appears to have DOT 3 Fluid in it. Is anybody using DOT 5? Any problems?
I drove my M1028 to work today. And a few miles from home whle running about 50MPH the engine jerked, puffed out a cloud on black smoke and started knocking. It's hard to tell if it's a connecting rod or what. I'm thinking the noise is higher up. Mabye a pistion wirst ppin? Anybody had this...
I'm only getting about 6 months of service out of the underdash started relay on my 1028. I've tried the auto parts china made heater relays and the real GM part. But after about 6 months it burns/sticks and the starter takes off by itself again. I've gotten to the piont of keeping a spare in...
I just opened the new to me M52's airfilter canaster, found a K&N style filter. Has anybody seen these before? And has anyone found one of these in a 2 1/2 ton? I'll try to upload the photo's from my phone.
I tried searching this because i thought it was covered before. But did the CUCV's have pioneer tool racks? I'm looking to put one in my M1028. Where were thay located? Behind the seat?
How clean is the power from a MEP 003? As in will i be able to run electronics with it? Or only lights and motors and such? I'm planning on using it for power when the next hurricane shows up.
Does anyone happen top have the numbers for the filters? Thanks
I just got all the hoses and got my powersteering put back to gether on my M52A2. The book calls for OE10 in the system. OE10 isn't easy to come by. Doese anyone think Dextron III tranny fluid would cause any problems?? Thanks,
I just picked up a 10K diesel genset. It runs great but when i disconnect the slave cable it dies. The DC side doesen't charge the batteries. I found a box behind the panel that appears to be a recitifer for the 24v. Where can i find one of these? Could there be another problem? Thanks.
I was looking throug hGL today and found a A3 in GA. A pic of the speedo had a trip meter in it. Anybody ever seen one of these? Anybody know where to get one? The truck is in sale#3147 and it's lot#1056.
I'll be taking my dad a airforce truck the friday after christmas. If anyone along the way between houston and modesto ca would like to get together for coffie or some tire kicking id like to meet up.
I've noticed alot of gas stations here are starting to get the B5 sticker on the diesel pump.
I know bio has more lubercation than the new ULS crap they are selling now days. But, how much more lube could B5 be? I'm guessing they are using it to help reduce emmissions even more. I use lucas...
I'm leaving to take my dad a 4+4 airforce truck i got for him just after christmas. If anyone needs anything hauled west let me know. I have a empty bed. It has a military pindle and light plug. So i can move anything M105 and less. I'm flying home so it's a one way trip.
I'm tring to find out what SAE size the bellhousings on the multi's are. I know there is a adaptor plate to drop down to the 3052 tranny. Does anyone know off hand what size the bellhousing is? And what size the adaptor plate is also? I'm looking and using a multi for a genset. Thanks.
I got the chance to get a M34 for my favorite price. FREE! I just have to drag it home. Im going to look at it this weekend. I'm told it's a m34 with the bed missing and still a gasser. And that it has 11.00-20's with singles in the rear. Is the axle spacing different in the rear. I know the bed...
My brake booster failed about a month back. So i bought a rebuild kit and overhauled it again. It was about 5 or 6 years since i did it last. But after the rebuild it did the same thing. I had no boost about every 5th time i hit the pedal. My master cylinder was leaking also. So i got a new...
