Saw this truck the other day and I thought you all would like to see the mods done to it by the Maintenance Depot at Camp Carroll in Waegon, Korea
The one picture from a commercial truck I snapped because of the neat way they had used to keep the lugnuts tight.
I saw these trucks up near the DMZ sorry the pictures are from the drivers seat of our van. I scared the other officers in the van snapping shots and when I picked up the van at the TMP the Korean lady said " I neever seee a Lieutenant Colonel signn tuck oout beefor
The new HET tractor and trailer are an awesome rig. I saw lots of them in Iraq and a few in Afghanistan but here in Korea they require special road clearances beyond what they did over there similar to America. We have them in a special company being driven and maintained by the Korean Service...
It appears there are hundreds of these for auction if I won a pair is there any member that could pick them up and store them till I get home from Korea? I will post the link if it does not violate the rules about current auctions since there are so many I think a commercial outfit would take...
Several of you have asked me to look for the Korean version of the duece and I got some good pictures of them as well as an M816 wrecker. I will keep my eye out for other vehicles too but anyone who comes here will be impressed with Kia and Hyundai vehicles
I am planning on buying lockout hubs for the deuce when I get back or just before I get back to America. I know this has been discussed in great detail but I am undecided on which one to use or if there are any other choices other than the two I know of Selectro and Oversons Just looking for...
Folks:
The link here shows the untold story of our great Soldiers in Iraq and the story shows the relationship and importance of this newer combat vehicle to the Soldiers. A good read and I ask you keep all these Supermen in your prayers.

I was just looking at the member map seeing as it remindes me of home and noticed some of the Steel Soldiers I see on the posts are not on the map. If you are not on the map would you please consider putting your pin on it with a Zip Code? That would be great to see how far others are from you.
Sorry this is not for my CUCV but my Suburban is a cousin so I thought some of you might have a thought on this.
My 1998 Suburban just ate the injector pump. Still under warranty so that will be fixed but the dealer wanted to drain and clean my fuel tank and lines for a tune of over 700...
Found this site in Dakota City off of I 29 that sells good 1100 20 and other tires at very reasonable prices (quoted $25.00).

If anyone is close they were very pleasant to talk to.
I have a great book with all the WW II vehicles listed in it and one of the ones I would really love to see up close is the Mack NO 7 ton Cargo Artillery truck designed to haul the long tom 155 MM and the 240 MM cannons. The book says they could carry a full 5 tons with the 15 ton cannon in...
As many of you know I am getting the 1957 M52 gasser here are a few picts of the truck and I am waiting for the title to come in and a few more trips to make it roadworthy. The tank mounted on the toolbox is getting extra bracing and is one that Tactical Truck (Jeff) graciously let me use since...
As most of us know the spring brake on a truck or in this case a trailer have very strong springs under compression in the can. These must be caged to work on the brake and when caged the brake should release. I am working on trying to move a trailer out of GL and I could not get either of the...
Has anyone put in gauges to show real values of oil pressure and temperature in a CUCV? I am desiring to do this for ours and would like some ideas on mounting and source of supply for the MILSPEC gauges or if I can just use COTS 12 volt ones from the parts store.
I kno it is not a favorite thing for folks to see what is for sale on GL on the site but there are so many M 817s up in the near future has anyone had eyes on these and are they rougher than they look or severly water damaged? Just thinking if they go cheap they may be a great deal or a...
Have you seen how cheap the things go for in Hawaii? If we got together on this we could charter a ship and bring home a lot of nice trucks treating our spouses to a Hawaii vacation enroute.

I was keeping track of this and won it today:
STUDEBAKER MDL MEP-017A GENERATOR, METER INDICATES 50HRS, W/ HERCULES MDL 2A042III 2CYLINDER AIR-COOLED, 4CYCLE, GAS DRIVEN ENGINE
I am hoping to make this the round out on my duece to supplement the inverter charger already mounted under the seat...
I pulled out the old glow plugs since it was taking two cycles to start and the old ones are labeled with a 070 on the hex head and are Wellman 6 A 843G115 on the barrel. I put in ones that have 289 on the hex and 19207-12338771 on the barrel. Am I going to be OK with this swap or am I headed...
I am sorry I do not have a photo for this yet but I will add one later, in short my belts started screaching on the way back from New Jersey with my dolly and trailer and when I checked the belt adjustment frame was all the way at the limit to adjust any further. What i did to fix it was to cut...
