I will try to get pictures and post . System works great if you brake a hose or loose the pump you still have OEM steering box working for you. Not too keen on posting pictures but I will give it a shot . I found a used system complete for $75.00 + 5 ton pump. Control valve replaces the...
Garrison Steering has made and sold this type of steering "Hydro Assist" for years and it retains the OEM steerinfg box. I have this type of steering on my truck , used 5 ton pump . It works great almost too easy at times !!!! Needed to flip the the caster shims for better return to center. Many...
The system looks the same as the Air Assist system only it is powered by an engine driven hydraulic pump rather than air. It has a hydraulic ram attached to the tie rod and axle and a control valve in place of the drag link same as the Air Assist . Works wonderful !!! Sometimes it is all most...
I have power assist added to the OEM steering box . Built by Garrison Steering works great . My truck did not want to return to center after addding power steering , had to flip the front axle caster shims . After this mod it steers and returns great !!! You can find this type of steering on...
Need to check the new fuel nozzles with air before installing , mine leaked straigth thru with slightest pressure . This will fill crankcase with fuel soon !!! I had to add a fuel cutoff solenoid to mine with a check valve on the return line. to stop fuel leaking through the new Memphis nozzle
Mempis Equipment has new ones. The orings are square cut rings , sometimes they can be hard to locate . The problem with the "new " replacement is fuel leaks stright through , I had to add a solenoid valve on the inlet and check valve on the outlet to stop fuel from leaking into the oil .
I had a sheet fab. shop make mine a year ago or so. Used a hole saw to drill holes in the back plate and cut between the drilled holes . Worked great , wish I could have purchased them for your asking price, cost me $ 40.00 each !!
I run 5 ton pump with hydro assist works too good !!!! Garrison Steering , look at large truck scrap yards a lot of them in service cheap. Early GMC and Chevrolet soft drink trucks also used this . God Luck
Smoke Torque = TIGHTEN TILL IT SMOKES !!!! Ky. Torque = Tighten till it breaks then back off 1/4 turn !!! I think the torque is around 400-450 ft. lbs. Mine are not that tight now , I carry no loads . If I carry a load in it I will re torque !!
My truck has Hydro Assist . The axle perchs are angle cut 0 caster stock , flip and 4 degs. positive caster . Same as riding your bicycle as a kid with the wheel turned around backwards !!
I changed mine to power assit steering rotating the shims made all the difference in the world . Truck does not have the druken monkey effect anymore. My truck had no pins to locate the axle attached to it. Nothing broken or missing not present !!!
