nice! i tried to take mine in the mud over the weekend, and the trails were just too rutted up for any sort of steering action. for as much as the truck weighs it just slid around like a toy.
although I did forget to air down. but my CTIS has a leak in the rear and I dont have a gladhand air...
I was just about to make a post about that stupid hose. Where did you get the replacement stuff? I need to replace the hose between the muffle and intake, as well as the long hose that failed on your truck.
I heard about it a few times, and went to drive by once. It was in bad shape, then i saw the Gradal truck in the back and connected the two. The guy who runs that place I've met before, pretty **** obnoxious and strange, and also trashed the couple of times I've met him before. He sells heavy...
that was was pretty rough, and the dealership owner is a moron and a drunk. Wanted $6k for a rusty, unkept truck missing the tail gate, stakes/troop seats, and other various parts.
other than that, welcome! I've actually got my A3 listed on Houston Craigslist.
I think I paid $12 ea for 2 weights and $7 shipping from Erik's. And it was fairly straight forward, jack up, air down, replace weight, go backwards. at 90psi my poor compressor was working overtime to air back up
you're going to need the entire roof section and supports, , and its almost guaranteed not to work with your wagon top. you're going to lose your nice "quiet" ride and probably your weather/water proof status as well. This is about a $3-7k project, depending where you find the parts.
Seems that every time I fix one problem with this truck, I find 2 more.... Figured out my pulsing brake pedal was grease inside the hub leaking out.
Also, while cleaning out the CTIS system, I noticed some rust flakes on one wheel, as well some significant grease/water on my rear axle...
Thank ye! And I think I paid $260 shipped for new lights in 2009? The rears were like $50 a set new Grote, and the Trucklites up front were $100 shipped for the pair, new
worst case, you buy the entire air shift kit for $150 and keep the rest as spare parts? I've already done 2 air shift piston repairs, so those parts may come in handy
