There's a guy up in your area I got a 250 shelter from couple years back. He has several 280 shelters available.
Couple other places within ~200 miles that has lots of 280 shelters sitting waiting to be picked.
The ambulance body could be a good alternative, and I'm sure a shop could take...
I would love to know more about rewiring it for 120/240 two phase standard home.

FVMSS sticker is on the vin sticker in the door.
The difference between EPA compliant and exempt is the EGR system from what I can see. The 6.2/6.5's that are put in don't have the egr valve on the intake and the vacuum operated exhaust valve off the manifold.
