Thanks Rayzer, MarkM
MarkM - I asked Rayzer the same question about his a few months ago. It is just vinyl flooring. This way there are no seams, and no caulking to worry about separating as the trailer flexes. I used liquid nail that is used for a multiple of materials. It drys quickly, but...
Finally had a chance to do some more work on my M146. Seems like months since I last worked on it. But time give you the chance to look at all the options and things to purchase at Lowes, and Home Depot on sale. This weekend I worked on the bathroom sink installation, and Surround around the...
Great progress and excellent harness extension with the use of shrink tubing. Perhaps you will do a video of the test drive for us :) Keep up the good work.
Sorry for the delay. I did not get a chance to go up to were my M931 is stored until after work today.
From the back of the cab to the front set of rear wheels is 67", and to the rear set is 121". Hope this helps
The Red Dot one included a belt, and bracket for a 1/2" breaker bar to tighten the compressor. Also the AP Air one required you to undo one line going to the compressor to install the bracket. But the AP Air bracket actually looks stronger and is about $36 cheaper. Here is a photo of the AP Air...
Purchased one of the HMMWV AC Kits and installed this system in my 1984 M915A1. I did mine slightly different than reb87 with the same kit. The HMMWV kit is the same as the one for a M915A1 with a few exceptions: AC bracket, brackets for roof mount are about 1" narrower and do not fit the roof...
I have located the original bracket. There are a 3 remaining per the RedDot Distributor. The P/N RD-9-10055-0P is correct. It has to have the -0P on it for them to locate the part. Les with Kool Radiator, 734-285-6820 , koolradiator@comcast.net can get these mounts for $186.92 plus S/H. He...
SLOrazorsedge is correct, and it they will also need some tow lights with a 25+ foot cord, as the lights are 24 volt, and only have the military connector.
After trying to get the RD-9-10055 from RedDot, and finding out it not available, I ended up ordering the Bracket from AP Air P/N 995-126. This can be purchased from AP Air, contact Lindsey Trauger
Phone 515.332.5500 e-mail Lindsey@apairinc.com It has a back support that bolts to the block. I...
Thank you for adding the TM for the air conditioning. I picked up one of the AC kits out of Lockbourne last week and will begin on the installation once it arrives. Just have to order the bracket kit.
I have won a few items in Lockbourne, Ohio that I have used SS member HDExpert. His service in the pickup of the items is very professional and fast. Great communication throughout the whole process. This service he provides to the Lockbourne Ohio area gives SS members the confidence they need...
Appears to be just a starter soleniod/relay similar to what Ford trucks used. The only difference it has a second row of terminals. When you turn on the key, one of the small wires would energize the solenoid to allow the voltage to pass through the larger diameter wire. One large wire should...
36racin, you can send weekstrucking@yahoo.com a e-mail, as he goes back and forth between west coast to east coast with his semi and enclosed trailer. His prices are reasonable. Tornadogt, if you can get someone to get it off base and hold it. I will try to get a few things from Ft Polk after...
Another option that I thought of with my M146 behind a M931A1 was to put 395/20s on Duece bolt together combat rims and just run singles. This combination may also require to put small blocks between the springs and axle mounts. The blocks could be welded to the axle mounts so they do not shift...
Do you have any pics of under the hood, of the compressor and where you mounted the dryer? Castle Bravo, Red Dot said the Bracket #995-126 for $152 is the correct one. Maybe Reb87 can verify this is the one he used.
Looks great Rayzer. I like your Idea for the 3/4" for the sink drain. It makes it little easier to run that tubing through the frame. Keep up the good work.
