need to turn it up
I had to have mine smog checked (diesels in this county have to do that to get plates). They run it on a dyno and I recall that they said it put out 85 hp. I need to go find the paperwork to make sure on that figure.

Look me up when you get back in town, I have a rf blinker on my deuce that does not work. : ) The MVCC had their christmas party in Denver last nite, we had a good time and lots of good items auctioned off. I got an antenna tie-down, eew-weee! pic is of me and bulldogmack13...
Yes, Ft. Riley is an army base in Kansas, right along interstate 70. 91W350 can better answer that. I just pass by there on road trips. Didn't they add a whole lot of buildings there in the last few years to add more helicopters? I passed by there last summer and saw Chinooks and Blackhawks...
900 series
Nice truck! I looked at those just for fun and would like to have one someday. Seems like the Sparta,WI place on GL always has lots of nice vehicles for auction. Seems like the 900 series is really being dumped to the auctions a lot now. I am wondering if the supply of them will...
rattle cans
Are you referring to a 3 color woodland camo design?
I just got pics from here or off the internet of 4 views of a truck, front, back and each side and then free-handed it, using brown and green from RAPCO and the black is rustoleum flat black (bulldogmack13 gave me all this info...
hard top, or singled out
one of the weirdest queries I have ever seen here. and ..... which, not witch.
For comparing deuces, the two items; a) sprag system for front axle drive engagement, as opposed to airshift engaged, and b) having a winch on the front of the vehicle or not, seem...
idea from an F-4 backseater
"Sure would be nice to cover up that glaringly empty spot on my dash!"
...well....I also added useles stuff like this proteceted switch to cover up the open space.....
:-)
shamless plug
you mentioned the open spot on your dash. I took my warranty plate off because it has the blue paint rubbed off in several places and in that area I then put a sticker from, Left Coast Design, warning about running the engine enuf till the turbo bearings cool down. Humorous...
wrench'n
Let's see. You're gonna need a; shop trailer, a M-816 to lift it with, and an instructor.....
... some baling wire, duct tape, vise grip, etc.
Most of the time tinkering on mine is with some open end wrenches like; 1/2", 9/16" and a 3/8" craftsman socket set. sockets...
ear protection required
...since you asked.... if possible, meet up with somebody that has a military vehicle and go for a ride. You may be amazed how different the 2.5 ton and 5 ton are compared to civy trucks. I feel like I am driving a large farm tractor on the street when I drive my...
thru the grapevine
lo these many years of reading on here, I have only heard folks mention the usmc locker trucks....related to the 5 ton cargo trucks. I can't remember if it was the 800 series 813's, or the 900 series 923's. I remember one guy talking about accidently tearing up the grass on...
oshkosh b-gosh
Isn't the reason for their scarcity is that these models are sent back to the factory, tore down, and then sent down the line again being rebuilt with all the latest technology the brand new ones are getting?

ooh rah
The local Marine Corps League detachment adopted me and they pay my truck storage costs and give me a check for fuel once in a while and they supply the banners and flags.
and don't forget to obtain the large sheet of metal that gets riveted across the lower backside of the cab for additional bracing. Search or google about ring mount on deuce and you will find all you want to know.
holy amperage batman!
My truck would not start yesterday. I put two new 6 TL's in it in March 2011, had just picked the truck up last fall from GL and it came with dead batteries in it. I looked on here and saw about buying group 31s. I ended up buying two group 24's from Wally World...
veet-nam
Marines did use 'em. Here is a pic I saved that someone posted here awhile back. I would sure like to see some pics of the Marines using them in the Mideast between 1991 and now.
read, read, read,
just throwing out ideas here.....I was on this site every morn before work and every evening for about a year and a half before I bought my first deuce (a 1970) 3 years ago from a member I met through this site, bulldogmack 13 (that's us in the pic on 9/11/11, he stage right)...
