Bought paint from him and called for additional information. He took the time to answer all my questions and even offered some additional tips that made the job go a lot smoother.
I recommending him.
Hey Bjorn,
Are those tracks for a set of duals peeking out of the container on the lower right?
Looks like they have several sets if you want another project.
Yep, it's the tension ring from a female connector. (see picture in earlier post)
Somebody doing wiring while changing filters?
Those collars are really tough-- so much so that I had to make a special tool to get them off and on the terminal ends when crimping the terminals on. Good thing your...
How big is that thing? It looks like the collar for the female terminal in a waterproof connector.
Although I can't figure out how it would ever make it's way into your fuel system.
Remember that you'll have to change flasher units since LEDs don't draw enough current to trigger a standard unit.
Here's a picture of Truck-Lite's unit.
I'm not sure about a mixed system either, if you're only planning the change the taillights.
Last, the LED flashers I've found so far aren't...
Early push-button switches had bad internal relays, the newer ones supposedly have this problem corrected.
Just to play it safe I've got Bosch relays between the puch-button switch and the device so the push-button switch only controls the relay(s). The relay is what handles the heavy load.
Sorry to be practical but I'd weigh "unique" vs. parts availability & cost of same/support and backing/ importing one or more (a second "WIG" may be the only spare parts out there).
There have been several US built ground effects vehicles that might be more likely candidates and parts for them...
686A Tan is also known by it's five digit FS595b code, 33446.
Go to www.colorserver.net and you'll find a wealth of information. You can even view color samples there.
This may also help.
On HEMTTs, both front axles steer but one has a slightly tighter turning radius than the other.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but it's my understanding that the LVS power units can do this (slew steer) or lock the second steer axle and only steer with the first.
In "normal" operation, the...
Oh, it's up there. I'm 6'3" and it's at eye level to me.
I'm only running the ''medium'' tow bar and it's almost all I can do to bench-press that much weight up and down by myself.
However, I have learned to clamp the tow bar legs together... after only three pinched knuckles episodes.
I...
They're a slick idea. I cranked a set out for the baby HEMTT in a couple of hours.
They've since had the retaining bolts and latches attached and have been painted.
I think TACOM already has the rights to the idea sewn up.
Going through a box of NOS parts and I've got some wiring I'm trying to ID.
One is a four pin moulded female plug, stepped so that two are on a different level than the other two (so thay can't be connected incorrectly). Out of the plug are four 8" leads with number tags that look like they're...
S's Nightmare is right. I bet anything that looks even remotely like an MV part, especially a U.S. MV part, will put up so many red flags in the air that it'll look like a soviet military parade.
First you'll get to explain where you got the part, then who you got it from, then where he got it...
What a person is willing to devote to a ground up restoration is a far cry from what the military is willing to do.
They bring back a lot of the larger vehicles because Oshkosh and AM General both have "RESET" programs in place. I don't think there's any such plan for vehicles that may be...
You're right but isn't there a 3-2 (or is it a 2-3) adapter sandwiched between the bellhousing and the trans on the deuces. Mine had a thin (5/8" or so) adapter and I'm pretty sure that's what that was.
I put an Allison AT545N behind my 5.9 and it was a direct bolt-up operation.
