    picatinny nj pick up ,,

Amazingly enough the NJ DOT put me on that section of Interstate 80 today and during a lull I had a chance to run up Green Pond Road (CR513) to refresh my memory. As I said, go through Hibernia and just after the Fire Department (nice building on the right) Snakehill Road will be the next left...

    picatinny nj pick up ,,

Depending on your destination: For Picatinny Arsenal get off Interstate 80 at Exit 34 and follow the signs for Route 15 North. Once you go through the light at Route 15 you'll see the Main Gate for Picatinny Arsenal ahead on your right. Follow that driveway to the visitor center to register...

    Mounting antenna bracket

I have the same problem on my M1009. Initially it had rear mounted antennas on both sides, then went to center mounted when the system changed. So I have 4 spots with 4 holes each. I've tried to remove the bolts but most of them just spin as you described. I was wondering about a spot weld to...

My BIG M925A2 Project Truck Is Home

WOW, what a project. I stand humbled before a project of this magnitude .. the skill, patience (and deep pockets) involved make my feeble fumblings with my cucv projects appear trivial. Very interesting to watch the "masters" at work (and play)

    M151 TM wanted

Chuck, that would be great! I checked LOGSA, just in case, and they no longer have most of the M151 manuals on line - but they still have the MWO for ROPS and some TMs for helicopter transport. Go figure. Adding that to the Resources would be a nice addition.

M35 - help me own a deuce! quick top fold-down and up

Good Luck with your truck. But ... I have to echo the previous comments regarding the practical aspects of using one as a daily driver and under the conditions that you describe. A deuce is not an economical vehicle to drive, it requires A LOT of space - to park, to garage, to turn, etc. It is...

    Need a set of keys...HELP!

EXCELLENT!!! Simple solutions from simple minds. The Steel Soldiers strike again. ;) Perhaps EVERYONE should get one for Christmas? A CUCV key could be the "secret" group ID, instead of having "Challenge Coins" made. :)

    Manual M35A2

EXCELLENT!! This was a topic awhile ago and I didn't realize that anything had been done about it. Very nice piece of work. NOW, should the question arise, a SS member "in the know" can simply direct the person to this link with a polite note...

    Manual M35A2

Here is an example of what we were talking about on a previous thread - regarding questions that people have and how to respond. "We" know that IF you have the vehicle in question, that you can find the correct TM number off the data plate (in most cases) and can then download it in .pdf from...

    Another M936A2 in the family

Congratulations and Deepest Sympathy!! The good news is you got the truck you bid on. The bad news is you got the truck you bid on. Looks like you are going to have a great time this winter locating the missing and damaged parts, banging on metal, busting knuckles, cuss'n and generally having...

    My introduction, and a question

Hmmm, an M1009 in "civilian clothes," what will they think of next? :) Nice looking truck, welcome to Steel Soldiers. Sorry to hear about your starter - but as you say "what are friends for ... "

    1031 contact maintenance truck

TM 9-4940-421-14, etc. is for the M887 Contact Maintenance Truck. That is the earlier Dodge version. It can be downloaded from LOGSA in pdf format. I browsed through the manual looking for info on the manufacturer but couldn't find anything useful. I did see that the Aux. power unit for the...

    m119 TM

TM 9-2330-210-14&P The TM is in pdf on LOGSA - but not available to the general public. It covers the M118A1, M119 and M119A1. Dang drat and hossifass, foiled again!!

    Need a set of keys...HELP!

How about a diagram for CUCV owners so they can remove the ignition switch and install a toggle switch with a starter button? (of course that wouldn't help with the door locks - but then wind wings are cheap to replace)

CUCV Build... Here We Go Again...

Very interesting project! I'm waiting for rubber mats and insulation to arrive and surfing the web to find a mount for my laptop. AC - interesting, but I'm not an AC person. I am going to install sliding windows in the rear - my dog needs to stick his nose into the breeze from time to time. In...

    Help with armor identification

This vehicle appears to be the Canadian AVGP (armored vehicle general purpose). This link has photos which appear to be the same vehicle (with a turret instead of plywood cover). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AVGP The 3 versions of the AVGP are the: Cougar - turret with 76mm gun Grizzly - APC...

    Hey I am new

Welcome to the site. Lots of knowledge here. Be sure to visit the reference section to download the manuals for your vehicle when you get it (or sooner). TM 9-2320-289-10 is the operator's manual (the most basic of the series). There is no cure for green fever - it is addictive!!

    ss rank

I took a quick peek at the new member section and didn't see a quick reference, so: Short answer, it is based on the number of posts that you make. (there may be other factors, I don't know the whole formula). As I understand it, the more active you are, the higher your "rank."

    New guy in North Jersey

I see that Cdub has beat me to it and already given the plug for our North NJ "military motorhead" club. Welcome to SS and good luck with your M1009s. ps, all of the manuals for this series are available in pdf format in the reference section. Look for TM 9-2320-289-10, -20, etc.
