This Protective Control Box Prestolite came out of my 1988 M998. The wait light didnt work and the alternator was in the red. I replaced the box with a used yellow tag unit to match the sensor on the engine....Bingo the wait light works and my alt gauge is back in the green - the engine starts...

Look forward to seeing the install - The engine can handle the chassis just fine and there are tons of mods available - may the force be with you !!!

Finished the trailer plug/cover install on the Airlift bumper. Next comes the roadworthyness inspection and a tag :-)

Looking for a new or good used Hmmwv gauge panel. Dont need all the gauges unless its a steal of a deal.

Installed my Rhino spare tire carrier on Friday along with the remainder of the Airlift bumper brackets. Saturday installed a new steering wheel. Most I've done in months.

The IbisTek is kinda of a pig - lots of protection but I dont see myself running a road block any time soon. The more I look at it there could be a rectangle tube bumper project in the works - airlift front version .....

Recovered my M998 last week - the old school 1st gen grill guard needs replacement. What later versions (military) will work without major mods ? pictures please......

Todays recovery went smooth - yes the storage area is still soft (no standing water) - when we arrived another customer was kinda stuck. My truck started on the first try - drove it out of the fenced area to the trailer and it went up the ramps idling. The GP rep was very helpful and easy going.

Tomorrow we recover my M998 from the Lake Butler FL location. Been waiting since early eighties for this day - hope the description was on target.

Ended up buying Hmmwv seats with all the hardware.

Is there a cross reference # for the Kaydon A910428 fuel filter? Somebodys gotta make a version aside from Kaydon.
