I run Rotella Synthetic in my Deuce and all of my other vehicles. Yes, the old Chevy leaks out of every gasketed joint but the 5.7L has survived to 320,000 miles and still runs great. Just like the MG, the trail of oil helps it find it's way back home.....[thumbzup]
You may never know.... My odo on the '70 says 1,567 miles.... I didn't buy it believing it, but the engine looks it. There are no leaks or discoloration on the blocks or head. The valve train and bottom end are clean with no rust or deposits (bore scope) and oil stays clean. There is...
If I had those in my back yard I'd agree. Around my house and barn I normally get lots of garder snakes and the occassional large black snake. The only ones we need to watch out for are copper heads and they normally don't venture far from the creek and have a different fate than the other ones...
This one isn't changing colors anymore.....
All the critters in my back yard have fur except the snakes and newts like this little guy. I didn't realize the anoles were common as far north as SC.
I've had a skunk make a smelly mess of our one car when it got caught in the fan and fan belt one brisk morning. I've found mice and snakes before in barn finds and other resto projects I've drug home, but the lizzard was just odd.
Now the question is, did the little bugger come from the...
I finally felt like contorting to hook up the defrosters in the Deuce this past weekend and mount my 7" monitor for the cameras and I found the strangest thing thus far..... Besides all the wasp nests and sand I've pulled out from various places, this dried up little critter was in the passenger...
I've had more issues with PennDOT trying to get antique tags. I've been rejected numerous times on a few different vehicles. One time it was over a "period" stripe that was on my car, but wasn't "factory".... I've never had an issue going the other direction. They will want the $400 for the...
Awesome!!!! I've had State Farm Insurance for 23 years and although not cheap, I've never gone through the hassels I watch family and friends go through when the need presents itself to utilize my policies..... In part this may be due to having a great agent as well. Have a safe adventure!!!!
You need to make sure there is a box for her once and a while, flowers included. My wife and I each have our toys. There for a while everything coming to the door was for her Land Rover D1 (of course I had to install them, but I didn't mind) She's even become a great helper. There are still...
Mine is registered as a class 8 truck (pickup). Insurance is well aware of GVWR and the fact it has 3 axles. I was not forced into a commercial policy and it is insured as a pleasure vehicle under my standard policy (not antique) so I could use it with out all the restrictions of an antique...

Here is the Deuce (Tanner or Tan-doom axle {kids})
I wish I still had my '77 K. The one the Deuce is replacing is a light duty '90 K3500 (single rear wheels with 14 bolt). Body is OK with typical rust around the wells but the frame cross supports, shock mounts, and mounts are gone...
Thanks to all for the warm welcome!
Coal Cracker; Cool, Weatherly is where we vacation over the summer. Awesome area! Can't imagine climbing the gorge in the Deuce. My wifes old LRover barely crests the top with the pedal to the floor doing only 43mph with high rev's! I've seen this dumper up...
1971 M35a2, State Farm, Full Coverage/Full Tort with lowest deductibles, $29/mo, and it's registered as a class 8, multi-car discount (7), "pleasure vehicle" under 7,500 miles anually.
