You know it's really not to hard to pull the radiator tanks and clean the radiator. That was the first thing I did. Pulled all the hoses flushed them, the block and the Trans cooler. I thought about pulling alot of those freeze plugs they're not very hard to change either. You can get the...
I've deleted the CTIS on my truck does anyone know if the next time I have to tear it down if I can revert to the older A1 style seals? Instead of the cost and pain in the but on install that the CTIS ones are, or is there a good reason that I shouldn't?
There is one in the M35 section and it might be a sticky, that is very good with pics. They are really close to the same with the differences being some bolt and nut sizes, a different seal or 2, air brakes verses hydro brakes. I've done both size trucks. Oh yeah the 5 ton parts are much heavier.
Correct, but if it was mine being I was that far in I would pull the rest of it to inspect and clean the king pins, and replace the boot. I think the oil would contaminate the rubber boot and lead to that failing prematurely. Besides you'll never find a easier time to change that boot, go with a...
The DMV will give you a book that had everything you need to know for the most part. The town I work for required a CDL with air brake and tanker endorsement. I read the parts of the book that I needed, passed the written test the first time. Then practiced the pre-trip with a couple co-workers...
Guys I won't be able to attend this year. My cousin is flying in from Ft Riley, Kansas to get married before deployment. Don't have all the fun without me.
Hunting with 5 ton's! We have a 8 ft rule for rifles here in chowan county. So we use it as a mobile stand. Couple lawn chairs, put the shooting rail in the troop seat holes, and hang some break up fabric off it so the can't see you move. Works great around big open fields.
Works great, this was the first time my father in law had seen it done that way. His back had been giving him problems and want looking forward to cleaning them on the ground. Pic from last year
Yep, Rifle season opened today! Bow and black powder have been in for a month for one and 2 weeks for the other. I broke in a new stand too. I worked hard on it during the off season and finally got it up 3 weeks ago. The 923 helped! I shot both of mine within 3 min of each other in the same...
Opening day! 2 each! I forgot to take a pic with them hanging from the spare tire hoist. Pulled out a fellow hunter who had slid his truck into a wet rut with the 923
Prank gone wrong...
I had a service writer that was "large", everyone joked around and pulled pranks from time to time in the shop. One day I took a 2 liter bottle and installed a air tool connection in the top. Ready with a loose air hose connected to it I waited for him to go get comfortable...
The trans in these is a 4 speed and has a lock up converter. Another interesting fact, 4th gear is 1:1. The trans get case when in high is a overdrive ratio. This took me several times of other members explaining it to finally get it. As it's not something I'd had ever seen before in other vehicles.
